I only buy full price items when i have to or somehting is broken or run out. I check for codes, register with stores for preview days, and if I am looking for white goods I check reviews and websites.
If a supoermarket has something I use regularly on BOGOF or a good deal eg a percentage extra free, then I stock up. I always get the best deal I can on essentials like soap, showergel, toothpaste, loo roll, tea coffee etc.
All my clothes are from promotional discount days, store promotions or outlets.
It means I get better quality items than I normally could afford.
Handing over cash helps as well.
