Halifax Unsecured Loan - "Insurance Loan" - Have I got a chance to reclaim anything?

Emailed the CEO on Tuesday to ask them to confirm if they had received my acceptance form I sent back. Got a letter today saying they confirmed they has received it and would be in touch in "due course".
Any ideas how long "due course" is? Do they have to reply at this stage within so long?0 -

Hi, Just wondered if anyone knew if there were any timescales in place for them to follow at this stage? Thanks x0 -
Hi
I am in the same boat as you, I have signed and sent back so just waiting for calculations now
I called last week and all they could tell me was they are looking at weeks not months and to call back October if I had not heard anything. I am unsure tho as I was not aware I had it so if it is not the insurance loan part then I have no idea what I am due if it is then it should help towards the wedding and a nice holiday

Yeah same here, wedding planning, so will come in very handy. Good luck and let me know if you hear anything else from them x0 -
Have chased Halifax again to ask how long "due course" is expected to be and have received a letter today as below:
"Thank you for your letter, blah blah.....
Unfortunately I am unable to provide you with any specific timescales, however we are dealing with this as quickly as possible and will be in contact in due course."

Just emailed CEO to chase the progress and to see if they have started my calculations yet - only way I seem to get an answer out of them these days, looking forward to the reply

Well got another reply saying the same old....
"Thank you for your email, blah blah.....
Unfortunately I am still unable to provide you with any specific timescales, however we are dealing with this as quickly as possible and will be in contact in due course."

Well have chased up again with the CEO as getting a bit sick of being fobbed off with "no, we can't tell you progress of your claim". Surely someone can tell me something "Yes, its being calculated, No it's in a pile to do", anything rather than "we can't tell you anything but will be in touch"
I know they are busy but they do wind customers up even more!!
So just waiting to hear their reply!0 -
Woo Hoo :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Saw the post man and thought, junk as usual.
Opened the first letter and it is my offer letter from halifax and it comes to £2,186.39 - much more than I had thought it would be!!
Just as I was been all giddy I opened the other letter and it was the cheque for payment in full.
Am so excited - think a trip uptown to the bank is in order this afternoon :T
Thank you everyone for your help and good luck to those of you still waiting. Keep on at that CEO, that's what I've been doing every other day
