Am getting really anxious to hear back from here to see if I am entitled to anything, knowing my luck I won't but worth a try.

Has anyone else had any luck with Halifax loan ppi?

You could give them a ring and ask how your claim is going, they should be able to give you an update.
Also from the jr ruling in april they should let you know the outcome in approx 3 weeks x.

Rang up today for an update on this one to see how its going and got told anything to do with it, I have to contact them i writing using the reference so just sent them a small letter asking for an update - seemed a bit daft but will do as they say, hopefully they will be giving me some money back so a small letter won't hurt, fingers crossed :)

Hi there,i would leave it for a little longer before you write, give them another week and if you dont get anything back then put a complaint in to them.

    Hi everyone,

Have had a reply from Halifax about my PPI claim but could do with some knowledgeable people helping me understand it :o

It says thanks you....etc. As our final response we would like to offer you a refund of all the PPI premiums paid (inclusive of interest) plus simple interest at 8%. Should you accept our offer the payment we make to you will also take into account any other factors that are relevant to your circumstances.

Should you wish to accept our offer in full and final settlement of your complaint, then please sign and return the acceptance form in the enclosed pre-paid envelope. Once signed we will write to you again to confirm the final payment amount, a breakdown of the calculation and more ingo on when and how we'll make payment.

    You can contact FOS....etc.

I am happy that they have agreed to do this however I am a bit weary to sign and accept this before knowing what the amount is? Anyone have an easy way of helping me work this out as its all been online so I don't have statements etc and it started 5 years ago so my memory won't be all that :)

    Thanks in advance x

Hi there sorry no one has replied, these ppi threads are moving at such a fast rate !!!.

They have offered you the correct redress for the mis sell,to put you back in the position you would have been had you not had ppi, when they get the acceptance back they will calculate what you are due and let you know,if you are not happy with the figures if you post them up here, someone will work these out for you and if they are wrong, you can go back to the bank.

Thanks amersall. Just as I've dealt with anything like this before wanted to double check :)

Have signed the form and posted back now so will just sit tight and see what they send back.

    Thank you :D
