Nokia 6111 Cath Kidston - help please

I want to buy one of these limited editions phones, however, on PAYG I can only get it with Virgin - will I be able to unlock it easily?

Thanks

Had awful trouble with this phone
could not get network coverage at all with Virgin
had to take it back to carphone warehouse where after a lot of trouble and rowing they gave me a refund minus £10 for the aitime I'd paid for, apparently in their t & c's I have to give that up ( I could not buy the damn deal without buying £ 10 of airtime !!!!) .I am livid and will never buy from them again
as for the CATH KIDSTON phone my dd loved it and is bitterly disappointed poor baby.Sorry can't really help you except to tell you not to bother with it.

  • as far as i`m aware carphone warehouse PAYG mobiles are`nt locked to networks so you should be able to buy it with the virgin sim to get it cheap then pop your regular sim in it, just to be safe just ask them to confirm unlocked before you buy,
  • ^^^^^^ itsarichmansworld types a bit quicker than me;)
  • There is an exception to that rule this year Mr Rince They have clocked people doing this so most "popular" Handsets in cpw are in fact locked now.

Check with the Sales Consultant when you buy it.

FYI Lg Choco Pink is also locked, Moto V3 Lilac and some others always ask id the rule here chappies

Think there is nothing wrong with this phone, just that cpw are absolute pigs to deal with and I thought that was the only place to get one from?
Pray tell me where to get one from and I will cos dd abs loved this phone it is really pretty just perfect for a little girl or a girl of any age hehe!

The phone is very nice (the normal version), but it doesn't last very well - I saw a shop model virtually falling apart & one belonging to a fried doesn't seem far behind it. Basically a very cute but impractiacal phone from what I've seen.

PS Nokia have somewhat lost the solid build reputation they had for years. Until about a year ago, I never heard of Nokias failing, but now there are models which some people suggest are crud & repeatedly fail.
Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!
