    Just in the process of doing a 2 yr separation divorce and I applied in Jan 2011 and my nisi is being read on this Friday, and then 6 weeks and a day after that date I'll be down the court as it opens to get my absolute!:beer:

    I noticed that. It came in after my day on matrimonial, so I am not sure, but hopefully if it is all sorted it can go through on the nod.

    There are just so many variables.

    My DA came through before the finances were sorted but there was no pension to be arguing over and as far as I can make out, it's pensions that cause the problem. It is possible for the other side to get a stay on pronouncing the DA if finances aren't dealt with appropriately, I think.

    It is also worth noting that once you're remarried, you forfeit the right to file for ancillary relief and sort the finances using the courts - so if there is a pension to be worrying about, the new wife in this scenario would be mad to remarry before any share is sorted (assuming it's applicable).
