Hiya
If you no loan agreement, and you have no paperwork at all, if you write a letter, enclose £1 cheque or postal order, and request they send you a copy of the loan agreement by 12 days.
If you have the account number write that down on your letter as well.
For even more documentation on your loan its a matter of paying £10 cheque or postal order, this is called a Subject access request (SAR), they have 40 calendar days to comply.
There is a template letter for this request below, but if you decide to want to request a SAR, tweak the letter to your requirements.

Do you think I could get more money of them? Or should I just accept offer they have given me. The money they have offered has been a very good & welcome bonus to me. I know it's my money but feels Luke a lotto win. Ha.

Hello,
It's RBS's standard practice is to refund all the PPI you paid on a loan. However it's their ''policy'' not to include 8% compensation interest.
The 8% interest is what the FOS would award and is over and above what you paid. Had you not been mis-sold the insurance you could have had the money in a high interest savings account.
Di3004 is right about doing whats right for you, as it always depends on your circumstances but if I were in your shoes I'd probably accept. Unless the loan is very old the 8% interest, won't be a massive amount. As well as this success isn't guaranteed at the FOS, so if you continue there is some risk that you'll lose everything (and it could take two years through the FOS if RBS contest the mis-selling).0 -
Think am going to accept it. Money would help me out so much.
Thanks again for all the advice. Now am off to spend the money!!

Congrats on your refund though. :T:beer::TI drum and knit to help Independent Drummers and Knitters to comply with their rhythms and knitting patterns. Although I am qualified to, I don't advise drummers or knitters for reward.0
