No Buying Toiletries in March Challenge

If in this situation, would it not be acceptable to go into BS and 'test' a hand cream? I'm just thinking for future reference. When mt hands are like that, I could do oodles of damage with hand cream burning so wouldn't want to buy a duff one (IYSWIM).
Celebrate, I cured my headache with a liberal application of digestive biscuits. 1 biscuit, PO 22.00. Lurvely. Maybe you could save the nhs some pennies by trying this cure? I'll try for my patients :rotfl:.
Actually, I've sent one of mine to bed happy after a lovely foot/leg rub with aqueous cream (all I had). It was accompanied by a lecture. I'm undecided which she enjoyed more.
I did test the handcream first but it was so lovely I had to have it!0 -

After doing the deed, the male GP goes from the patient to the bin and puts something in it and then tells her it's finished and hurries from the room rather embarrased.
The friend is a bit bemused at this. She goes to the bin and there in it is a STAMP - must have been caught up in that bit of loo roll she pulled from the bottom of her bag and you can guess the rest:rotfl::rotfl:!! :rotfl:
Hello ladies.... been away for a day or two, my my, does this thread move fast.
I have to add to Julie's story thread.... last year I had to have a repeat smear. Got it all scheduled, then the night before the test my flatmate (who had had surgery two days earlier) started vomiting blood. By the time I had taken him (with his visiting dad) to the hospital, got him seen, put on meds and an IV for a few hours, then got him home the next morning, I had been up ALL night. I had time to shower, and then get on the road to the clinic.
Got in the stirrups, and the nurse told me to relax .... first time, second time.... nothing, too tense. Finally, I did breathing exercises, got to a happy place and told her to go ahead. She did, and congratulated me on third time lucky. At which point someone tried to open the door directly facing my bared nether regions. Too tired to realise it was locked, I clenched everything I had in fear. I shot her in the chest with it. Actually got it airborn - she had moved back and was over two feet away.
It took me quite a while to think of a response to my mate's Dad asking me if everything had gone OK when I got home......:o
Sorry if that is TMI - I just have to laugh at these things!
I missed the pamper party, had a consultants appt at the doctors, and found out I can't have a simple surgery on my foot, I have to have a whoppy great big one, and even then it might not work... spent the evening moping a bit and cursing the medical profession. Hope a good time was had by all! Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Im failing horribly miserably at not buying anything, had to go into Bodycare to pick up a few meds for OH (he's poorly
) and ended up buying a few things for myself, still haven't even spent my BS groupon voucher yet... Did look for another copy of Glamour in town but the only freebies they had were the facial scrub and eye makeup remover so I didnt bother as I was after the lipgloss...Very nearly bought MC with the cowshed lotion but distracted myself when I saw a design mag with my OH's stuff on a two page spread in it (hes a designer) so ended up forgetting all about the MC, probably a good thing I suppose...:p
Oh and I miserably failed the other day and bought yet more make-up I just didnt need...had a £5 voucher to spend at amazon and got a cosmetic set and a set of lip glosses for £2.20 delivered....MFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

Have just cracked open sanctuary body scrub and body butter....THEY SMELL DIVINE AND NOW I SMELL DIVINE.....what have I been missing out on all these years????????
I'm glad you're enjoying using your products and making time for yourself.
The toiletries work better on your skin than in your cupboard etc. I'm sure we can apply the analogy to many things.
.
So true Kaz, I must make the effort to use all my different products regularly.0 -
Oh - nearly forgot - Red scanned in foal with twins, so its good news and bad news really - horses cant carry twins, they usually abort about 10 months or so into their gestation, so the normal procedure is to pinch one out. Currently the two embryos are too close together to be able to do that safely - so they are waiting until Thursday and having another go.
so hurrah, but quietly - and I will be much happier when there is just the one left.
Doing the positive vibes thing on this one. And then some.
I have been amusing myself thinking up names for the foal - HELVELLYN is a mountain and PETROVNA means 'rock', so that comes up with all sorts of connections - ROCKY MOUNTAIN, or ROCKY SUMMIT (as opposed to EARTH SUMMIT)
Back on topic. A new method of UU - Chucked Out By The Cleaner  - The clingfilm on the remains of my Total Effects moisturiser with self tanner (light tan) tube had got a bit non-clingy, so I wrapped it in a panty-liner wrapper and left in on the shelf.
The rest is history.
There was about 3 days worth left, so it's not the end of the world.
Well, WIBA? Have others to use, so it'll have to wait. When I first used it, I nearly stopped and chucked it, as it made my eyes stream. I'm very allergy-resistant normally, so I persisted and it no longer has that effect. The reaction took a while to take effect and several times it happened when I was teaching, leading to some odd looks.
Being replaced with a much, much lighter Neutrogena product that I got from the pound shop and a Johnson's one that doesn't really work iirc (same source). I also have an Olay cream that my son bought me for Christmas but that's a standard one.
On to using the Lacura for mature skins Q10 moisturiser on my feet. It's a bit too heavy for me, I've not reached the cream for mature skin stage yet, a few years to go. My feet have improved beyond recognition since I joined this thread.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Oh My Goodness. I have counted and I think I have a whopping 587 individual products. This does include miniatures though. Am I the worst?
