Hi Charlie, yes saw the Mail on saturday BS offer - says you also get a body scrub on the sunday - goodness, I'm gonna spend all weekend in the BS - can't even use the BF to get a second one cos he loves the scrubs too and will want one :rotfl:!

I'd be well impressed with that as an example of usage.

Youknowwhat by 17 hmmmm i'm going past boots in half an hour.. do I dare...?!! :rotfl: The staff in there already know me, I get "Hiii xoxo, no dot com orders today!" when I go in :o Or when I do have an order, a voicemail saying "Hiii xoxo, yes there's another one.. see you later..." :rotfl: :o

Just after christmas I had so many boxes for my orders that they were going to send the medicine delivery guy out with them because it would have been impossible to get them home any other way :o Thankfully someone came up with the idea of unpacking the boxes and I only ended up with a few 4 large carrier bags overflowing of stuff rather than about 10 boxes :rotfl:

I don't think I can just go in and look at youknowwhat and not buy one of every nail varnish I don't already have the unnecessary youknowwhat :rotfl:

    Arghhhh! :D

You definitely need to stay away from Boots! :rotfl:

I completely agree with almost all comments on the Superscrimpers programme. In the Eighties there was a brilliant programme on the BBC called Bazaar, it was packed full of money saving tips, with Shirley Goode's cookery slot being the best bit. I have all the books linked to that series. The Beeb could do with rediscovering Shirley. There will no doubt be a Super Scrimpers book, think I will wait until it appears in the discount book chain stores like most Ch 4 spin-off books.
Re the Lady's size - that is a tad unfair perhaps, I had a friend of similar size who was an expert scrimper. I piled on the weight when my lifestyle changed (though not quite to the Lady's extent!)

I didn't intend to be mean but she was reckoning on that she was farming all those acres and living off the land, if that was the case she would not have a weight problem. She mustn't be telling the whole story.

    Hi all,

Looks like the superscrimpers has polarised opinion, if just about the size of the lady involved rather than any of the tips given! I only caught a few minutes of it, might try to pick it up on catch -up tv.

Still no more UUs to report, although the Shea butter bodywash is spluttering, so I think that'll be done by the weekend.... the bigger tubs of everything are taking forever to use up!

Well done everyone for March - I'm pretty sure the naughty step covers half the length of Europe again this month, but there's always April again... where's the link to sign up?

Haven't had any use ups - despite my best efforts! - or any purchases other than 4 of the clinique minis this month so haven't had a lot to post but I have been trying to keep up.

I watched the superscrimpers programme and wondered who it was aimed at, I think the bit with the family was good and might make people in a similar situation think about what they do, but they the old lady dying tired bras and pants and cutting bits off socks to mend jumpers - I think that would turn me off completely.

Not as good as a Martin Lewis money programme certainly!

Anyway I must be due some more UUs in April, my shampoo and conditioner are spluttering but none in the stash so there will be spends on that but think everything else is ok.

Perhaps she chose not to share a medical problem which means she puts weight on easily? Just because someone is large, doesn't necessarily mean they spend all day with their head in the trough! I have a friend - fitter than I am by a LONG way, who eats healthily and exersizes lots, but struggles to get below a size 22 - even when she was playing team sports twice a week, and training another day, pus lots of walking, the weight just wouldn't come off - very frustrating for her.

I'm afraid I'd also have to take issue with the comment earlier that she had all that land, so can't be short of money - go away, talk to a farmer about what life is really like, and the pressure to hold onto the land to pass onto future generations, and I suspect you'll find out just how far from the truth that is!

I'd have happily done the April thread but I'm going to away for a chunk of the month so won't be able to update graduates, etc. I'll certainly be up for doing one later in the year though, and Mariella - go for it!
