Roshy, what a mean-spirited gesture to you, I wonder what they were thinking.... My guess is they probably weren't thinking at all, just wrapped up in themselves.

Mingle, I hope you have lots of people around you to spoil you and care for you, take it very easy (no option really). What a massive shock for you too. Lots of very gentle hugs. A major-ish op on Sunday and out on Tuesday. How times change.

    Welcome to all newbies!

Nail effects things are v cool and I think it will make boring colours a bit more interesting!(not that I'm encouraging or anything!). Might try it with a blue or a gold next time.

Ooh you must! It's so much fun! Love your Pink Irridescent colour too

I bought the nail effects - one each for both daughters - so I could easily justify 'borrowing' it :D

The pink irridescent looks lovely, but it needed two top coats to reduce the 'sandpaper' feel of it. It's an easy colour to use though as you dont need to be accurate with it being fairly see-through. Think I might try it over a darker colour next time to see what that looks like.

I've not used this before, so interested to see how long it lasts considering I seem to bash my nails a lot :o Also, how easy/hard it is to remove as some glitter based varnished can be hell to take off!

Back to the gym this morning after having half term off, so I'll have a shower when I get home and think I'll have some UUs today.

The magazine will be on sale until Fri 1 April.

of course the one I want is the most expensive:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:bet they have loads of the cheap ones tho:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
  • Love your nails sawan and vicster! I have the crackle (nail effects) stuff as well, used it for the first time on Saturday over an amazing lime green from Ciate and it looks ace! I think I'm a little bit addicted to it already

Still no Glamour magazine for me (I'm a subscriber) - it has to come today though right? Also have just remembered I need to ring them up and change my address before I move, along with all the other stuff like sorting out my insurance, printing off CVs to take round agencies on Friday, registering with a dentist and a doctor... honestly, this moving lark is making my head spin!
Lush do sell a cute little tin to store it in - I got mine free with two bars. I would try and dry it as if you don't you get bits stuck to the tin.
Because my hair is spaghetti straight I found that just wetting my hair and stroking the bar down it three times generated enough lather for my whole head. You can also work up a lather between your palms and rub in more conventionally.

I've tried a few of the bars, I currently have Karma and are saving what's left for holidays, as it's so portable.

Godiva was the bar I didn't get on with, a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, it had huge lumps in it and disintegrated easily. It was really wasteful.

I didn't really like Godiva either, but more because I felt it made my hair really greasy. However Squeaky Green, Karma, Seanik and Ultimate Shine all worked really well for me, although I did need a little bit more conditioner than normal with the Ultimate Shine.

Rosemary, if you want one of the tins I'll be going past Lush tomorrow and this weekend so can pick one up for you?

    I'm in this month too.

I'm stuck at home for the next couple of days- on friday I was taken into hospital with awful abdominal pains and on sunday i had a huge ovarian cyst removed. Back home today and i'm in agony :(

    Hi to all the newbies!

Poor you! Hope you feel better soon *very gentle hug*

    wow Sawan - fab colour!!

vic - pink with nail effects looks great. my daughter often does that - might have to nick it off her one day and have a go myself.

My nails are a bit short at the moment for a bright colour (they've been snapping ). So I've painted them with BarryM

Piccy for you Sawan...please excuse all my computer junk! Colour and effects do lots better than pic - my camera doesn't like close ups very much! (bit like me! :rotfl:). Nail effects things are v cool and I think it will make boring colours a bit more interesting!(not that I'm encouraging or anything!). Might try it with a blue or a gold next time.

Thanks for the pic  They look amazing. I might wonder into SD on my way to umm... somewhere.. :o I have to say pictures sometimes really do help. I bought Cadogan Sq (a camel colour) and when I wore it you couldn't make out my nails really.

Thank you! They are attracting a little bit of attention at work today :D

I've only tried the Ultimate Shine one, but I did really like it. A word of advice which I read somewhere, don't buy the shampoo tin for the shampoo as it can be difficult to get out as it's a tight fit. I bought the body butter tin (I think) - the square one. Much easier to get the shampoo bar out of as there's so much more space around it. Currently being used to store HIWTK soap.

In a very small voice that is meant to not encourage buying or spending.....Word on the street is that the Glamour mag is out in some stores.....haven't verified this yet but will during my lunch break....:j---for research purposes only - bearing in mind there is no WH Smith near me and only small newsagents....pah.
Remember - do you really NEED this item before you purchase it....:A

Post lunch walk edit - still can only see the old mag- no sign of the new one. Maybe it's out in bigger stores or NI.....sorry for giving anyone false hope...

    Hi everyone,

Can I join in too? I finally feel I'm ready to take the plunge. I now realise I have a large stash of toiletries needing used up, so I'm going to sort it out and pop the list on here later ~ as seeing it in b&w should deter me from adding to it even more. :o

Going to include my stuff, DH's and the kids toiletries too, as they usually get bought in with the monthly shop.

    :)
