My resolve is wobbling today. I've got a hankering for yet more perfume. Burberry Woman this time, I love it but don't have any. I saw it in a client's house and it reminded me how lovely it is. I had a sniff but that just made it worse. I've had a look at the online shops and its not too expensive but I've told myself it'll still be there after Easter (I've given up perfume buying for Lent, which is a strange thing for an atheist to do, but whatever it takes to lessen the stash:o)
What my mum does is she goes into b00ts and has a quick spray of something she likes then walks out. I suggest you do this to get your fix until you can buy someSavings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0 -

I've smelt some whiffy perfumes in my time... it's worse when it's your friend's favourite and you pretend you like it.Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0 -

That makes it worse! If its lovely then I want it even more :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I have a friend who fell in love with Van Cleef & Arbels Faerie perfume and would walk through Debenhams everyday on her way to work and have a good squirt of it. Her son joked that she'd definitely had her £95 () worth in the few months she worked in that town :rotfl:
We were discussing perfume the other day and she has set me the task of finding it at a better price than that. The best I could find was £78 a bottle :eek:0 -

I quite like the moisture surge I got with a certain magazine so I really want to try this:o I think it was featured in the same magazine though:rotfl:

Hey all,
A quick post and run from me. Two UUs today: sensodyne toothpaste and the John Frieda foam colour deep conditioner.
Have a good evening! x0 -
That's a fantastic offer. I definitely won't be getting it but only because there's no Asda in Ireland.
I'm also getting tired of dedicating so much time to bargain hunting. I can just imagine going to a few different Tesco branches and having to queue at customer service, explain the price difference to staff...
It's a lot of work, just like the lloyds sale, boots sale, searching different shops for glamour magazines. We would all be less busy if we didn't do so much shopping.
You are so right....but what would we do with all that extra time!:D Housework?? Spend time with loved ones??thevicster wrote: »Free delivery on Liz Earle @ QVC...can't promise I won't buy the skincare essentials collection  Especially as I will deserve a treat after going to the dentist:rotfl:
And that's how we end up on this thread....comfort buying! :rotfl:Hi ladies
I am going to get evicted from this thread.:oI have recieved my bodyshop voucher which I won by placing a best offer on ebay.I am thinking of buying the honey&oatmeal mask but I can't think of anything else to spend it on.i don't want to buy makeup or shower gels.I already use bits from the vitamin e range. The aloe and camomile sound nice but I would like to get a few items so would minis be best?
BS are great for giving out samples - why don't you try out a few things in the shop then ask for a couple to take home? I've currently got body butter samples of various smells, the oatmeal fask mask (not used yet), couple of shower gels and the almond hand rescue (lovely but sooo expensive at full price £9!). They also gave me a sample of Aloe face cream and I loved it so much I bought it (with another discount of course.)
So sad to hear about people who have loved ones in Japan - really puts things into perspective. The Financial news (not that I usually read that) was reporting that the bottom will fall out of the luxury goods (esp handbag) market now because the Japanese are such good customers...my job is on the line again, so I simply have to get a grip on my spending....at least I have my stash to fall back on in the hard timesLess stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -

:eek: Indeed - though I must admit I would love to have a flick through that mag - outrageous waste of money....now if it was £99,000 of toiletries...:rotfl:
Truiji - I know everyone else has already said but go for it and enjoy. You just can't beat a guy who gives you butterflies :lovethoug
I have just opened a toni & Guy texture paste tub and hate what it is doing to my hair. I have really fine short hair that also gets very greasy - so I have to wash every day. I have used it the last three days and fine it does not hold or style my hair in anyway. As it is very old (maybe 4-5 years) it may have lost its potentcy. I just finished & loved the Tigi Bedhead Hard to get and I am thinking about binning the T & G and buying the Tigi one again. Does anyone have any other texture paste recommendations?
