seed swap

Being able to put what you want in a shopping trolley would be great, (the same as buy on line shops) with a box at the end of the trolley so you could be what you have to offer, but no idea if this would work for you receiving 1 email with wants and offers.
But even if you had to copy it out and send an email request along with what what you could offer, it helps with those of us with 'iffy' memories!
Then it could be printed out and a copy put in SAE and sent to you.
But other than that I think it works fine:)0 -

Thanks to all that donated basil seeds, they are all germinating in pots: looking good and smelling great.
Can't wait for my first home made bruschetta of 2011 :T:T0 -
Love this idea, this is my first year seriously planting and gardening and it costs quite a bit for seeds and then you are left with half you wont use. Will have to check what I have so I can swap some for sweetcorn and parsley. I bet it is amazing how many seeds are lying in greenhouses, drawers etc thatt will never be planted.Every days a School day!0

i don't have any sweetcorn listed at the moment - but i do have some (of my own seed) so you'd be more than welcome to enough for a block or two

thanks for the comments annie123 - although i do have the software to create a shopping basket type thing - but i think it only works if it is set up and registered with at least one online payment merchant - so i am not sure i can easily add something like that to my site - could you not just open another tab in the browser (to the contacts page) and copy/paste your chosen seeds in the form that is there?
i will look into adding a cart thing - but i think it might be beyond my capabilitiessaving money by growing my own - much of which gets drunk

seedswappers will take any seed - really heavy on salad leaf at the moment - so would prefer no duplication from that particular list

why didn't I think of that
what about a wanted section? not that I want anything at the mo but might be useful.
I know you put it against each selection but someone who has them may not look at it.0
