Best all-in deal, BT?

I have been reading pages of messages about telephone calls, broadband etc and have got to the stage where I am not taking things in (not well:().
Would some kind person tell me what is the best deal I can get? At the moment I am using Primus for calls and we are low phone users so the bill is £5-7 per month. Line rental with BT £13 and AOL for broadband - this keeps increasing and the last bill was £9.30.(2 increases in last two months).
For the sake of peace of mind and good service should I take a BT package?

I have recently changed from Virgin to BT, on paper it should have been cheaper however there have just been problem after problem - from swapping tel number which they said they would do to set up problems then billing problems, I wish I hadn't changed.0

If you have been reading this board, then how did you come to that conclusion? There's no universal 'best deal', it all depends what is available LLU on your exchange. Do an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com and list your LLU options. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Agree with macman no Best deal for all.
For me a low phone user like yourself,I have line rental/5hrs calls with IDNET £14.29 month
Broadband unlimited with Sky £15.00 per month (no tv or calls)0 -

I didn't really come to that conclusion. It was an assumption - I had really had enough of reading all about it yesterday. Going to sam.knows now!0 -
recently moved broadband to bt and got
1. line rental £10/month - but had to pay 12 months ie £120 up front for that
2. unlimited anytime calls - £5
3. option 3 unlimited broadband - £10
so all up £25/month for rental, calls and broadband plus free home hub
local exchange has no-one but bt resellers available - hasn't and probably wont be unbundled so choice somewhat limited0 -

hmmm that seems better than anything I've found with them (and they call me at least every few weeks).
What is your broadband download limit for £10? I have 40gb with talk talk and I don't want to go back to BT for 10gb.0 -
I was originally with Pipex, that became Tiscali, then Talk Talk. I have just changed to BT and am paying far less. Additionally the speed is far quicker. As well as cheaper internet, the technical calls are free.
I am paying £13.60/month line rental, £5.00/month Broadband (for 18 months) and £3.00/month evening & weekend calls.0 -
I am always tempted to go back to BT (from Tiscali (Talk Talk)) but I could only get 10gb internet use for same price as Talk Talk 40gb.0

I've had my phone with the Post Office for a while, free evening and weekend calls and you can use numbers like 18866 in the day if you need to call then. I'm just changing my broadband over too. They're probably not the cheapest, but they'd done ok with the phone so I know they're fairly reliable. £26.05 a month for 'unlimited' broadband and phone, and I don't have to go near BT! And the broadband helpline is free from a Post Office phone.0

hi frames1_uk
its option 3 broadband with BT which is supposed to be unlimited but i'm sure thay have a fair use policy tucked away somewhere in their t+c's limiting it but its certainly in the 100's of gb's - the 10gb limit applies to option 1
i got that deal after threatening to move line rental, calls and bb to talk talk - call them on 150 and haggle0
