Orange: problems receiving calls from withheld numbers this afternoon
I'm having problems receiving calls on Orange this afternoon from withheld numbers. The caller hears a continuous number unobtainable tone and my phone rings once and then stops. I've tried my SIM in another handset and I get the same problem.
I know other Orange users who are not experiencing this, which suggests it's a problem on the switch. Your switch is not local to where you are but quite a random allocation by phone number. Is anyone else experiencing this?

If you are still experiencing the same problem today, I'd advise to contact our Customer Service Helpdesk so that they can look into this for you.
If you are a Pay Monthly customer, they can be reached by calling 150 from your Orange phone or 07973 100150 from a fixed line. If you are a Pay As You Go customer, you can call 450 from your phone or 07973 100450 from a fixed line.

Sorry, I should have posted an update, as I spoke to Customer Services yesterday when it first started. An Orange 3G network fault was causing a variety or problems receiving incoming calls, especially from Vodafone customers, but also from fixed line withheld numbers. The fault can be temporarily overcome by switching manually to 2G or to T-Mobile.0
