I only care about keeping this board running and blatant piracy talk could bring it down.

o.k i apolagise for coming over rude
i didnt no it was against board rules
even though i no its illegal to gen keys
    and use pirate software

Why on Earth would you think something illegal would be allowed on these boards? Can't imagine it would be something Mr Lewis would approve of. So are you going to edit your post to remove that line or not?

Well I'd be amazed if they were older than me. I certainly don't feel like I have a monopoly on common sense. I'm still astonished anyone could confuse this forum for a warez site in terms of rules.

Hmmmm - the local bank has a pile of money in it, can anyone send me a key so I can take what I want?

Retsbed, the software is good and useful - please buy it from a reputable source.
Biddy79uk, if you know it's illegal to use keygens and share serials what on earth prompted you to bring the practices here?? There are places where you can get those things and this ISN'T one of those places. It leaves this site open to legal action.

    Theft isn't moneysaving - it's just theft.

Usually, when you download something, you are given the option to save it to your computer(for the purpose of virus checks and the like) or to open it.
    Which did you do?
In the future, always save it to somewhere you will remember. That will also give you the option to scan it for viruses before you install it to your computer.

Hi Donnie, no unfortunately i didn't save it to my pc. Thanks for the tip-i always guessed it's just faster to 'run' the file rather than save.
i ran ccleaner and there were a lot of files from nero and after cleaning up it doesn't look like there are any remnants left on the pc...phew.

Out of interest what free software or 30 trial software would you or anyone recommend to burn cd's etc? (i'll go and have a read of this forum anyway...was just wondering??)

Can i just state that i am totally against piracy and i'm all for these boards remaining clean and legal!

Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.

Hey, it's not your fault, you didn't invite dodgy posts.

Personally, I really only "run from location" when they are smallish programs. If they are larger it is definitely worth saving to somewhere specifically first. I also tend to back up those kinds of programs in case anything goes wrong with hard disc etc. Much easier to install lots of progs from cd rather than downloading everything again. Of course this assumes you have found burning software you're happy with ;) I can't relate any other experience than Nero I'm afraid (I use version 6.something) but I've always been really happy with it.

I know, i thought i'd just state my position anyway. These boards have helped me alot (and many others) since i discovered MSE and i wouldn't want to see anything happen to them (or Martin) because of the wrecklessness of some user who doesn't know any better.

Thanks for the tip superscaper, i guess we learn something new everyday. ;) I'm planning on doing a backup today anyway as soon as i find the software i like.

Question: Why would download.com have expired serial no's when it's the latest version of Nero with something like 19million downloads??

Seems odd to me, maybe you're better off just downloading again but from nero.com instead.
