  • I used some nectar points on a months free guest pass at Cannons gym for me and DH in the summer. 'Cost' me 2000 points (£10) and was great to get me bit more toned prior to summer hols without commitment of gym. Usual monthly cost at my Cannons is £56.

You may find when you get to Adams, they let you have them for £7.50 anyway,as they were advertising that you could redeem points directly off your card in the shop, but have had technical problems.I would ask. Also ask staff if there are any other offers on (ie spend £20 ,get another £5 voucher, and plan your spend accordingly). If you register with Adams for emails ,they will notify you .

    i use mine on CDWOW
    or Blockbuster

CDWOW are pretty good imho, although site is a bit limited vs the real thing.
Pity as u miss a few really good bargains on dvds

rent a blockbuster video using one nectar voucher.its the best deal in my opinion as it is £2.50 worth of voucher against something that would normally cost £3.75.

re brewers fayre my local paper and the postman are always giving me the same deals that nectar offer without need to use nectar points.

the best one offf deal was the summer nectar savings when they halved the points needed for places like cd wow and the like through the nectar site.one to look out for in summer as i guess it will be repeated.
although nectar arent great they are a better bet than lloyds tsb visa card points which is really poor!
Thought i'd mention that the Brewers Fayre vouchers printed in papers & flyers are usually not valid on Sundays, whereas nectar vouchers can be used anytime & you can also collect points there too.
Usually spend mine in Adams though & ocassionally at Brewers Fayre.

Yes correct(just looked at nectar site).Does that mean anyone with existing vouchers has to redeem them for this value?I dont have any myself.Edit-just remembered the original offer had to be used by the 31 oct or similar,so hopefully no one therewill be stuck with vouchers,i think most people realised and bought gift vouchers.Hopefully anyone who has bought them since would have been advised of the drop in value.
  • i would guess so, i dont have any either. i was waiting for the £7.50 for 500 points offer to come around again but that probably wont happen now
  • I have just seen this on another thread, it might pay you not to use your Nectar points in Adams for a while or until they have a good promotion going on.

    I hope it helps someone.:money:
  • So sorry to take so long to reply...lost the thread somehow. The hotel I used was the Best Western Aramis which was quite expensive (now approx £87pn) but wanted the security as travelling alone with young daughter. It is on a short, direct route from Gare du Nord and right opp a station so no lugging luggage. It's 5min. walking distance to Montparnasse tower at end of street with great views and ideal for an early morning outing before you head in opposite direction for the rest of Paris. Down that end is the Metro for Eiffel tower. Down the other end is the BLVD St Germain etc. There was a street market nearby on the Sunday morning (also museums are free on the 1st sun/month) and a few interesting shops, brill bakers and mini market to do your own breakfast in bed! I spent days on the web comparing hotels looking at travel agent sites etc and just plumping for this one... location, hotel are good and the kettle/TV/fridge/ensuite and night porter swung it:-) (but haven't got anything recent to compare it with and there are thousands there) I haven't seen any good Eurostar/nectar offers this year unfortunately. I expect the 11000points/ticket is their best special offer then just keep a look out for the 2nd person free deal.
Hope you have a lovely trip if you go!

I tend to use mine for Brewers Fayre restaurants. The exchange rate for most Nectar stores is 500 points for £2.50, but if you get a Brewers Fayre voucher it entitles you to £5 off when you purchase main meals for 2 people. So, if 4 of us go out for a meal and I take 2 vouchers it reduces our bill by £10.

When you do this, can you also use the extra nectar points voucher as well?
