Ikea Mattress 1 year old mattress BUYER BEWARE!!!
Spekky
We have this morning been visited by an inspector on behalf of Ikea UK
to assess if our mattress is fit for purpose or if we can look to get it exchanged (not for the same one I may and I will happily pay the difference). We have been told Ikea Mattresses are allowed to sag upto 5cm in the first year and as ours is only 3.5cm, we would be lucky to be able to exchange this mattress as it is within guidelines, he also said off the record he would not want to sleep on the mattress. We have owned other Ikea Mattresses in the past without these problems, both my partner and i are approx 5'8" and roughly 11 stone so not large people by any stretch of the imagination. This mattress has been regularly turned and is the same on both sides. see picture for sagging.
can anyone post this up for me as i am a new user!!!

If this mattress sags like this after a year god only knows how bad it will be in 2 years, which would still see the mattress inside of the manufacturers warranty. I am not looking for compensation only an exchange for a mattress which really is not any good for sleeping on.(you would not believe the back ache i get and i am only 36!!!), does anyone know if there is anything i can do or anyone had any luck with Ikea. I have lots of Ikea furniture and have always praised the value for money but with this I am at my wits end....

How did you pay?0 -
Is the mattress a no roll off, no roll together? We had a silentnight mattress that was no roll off, no roll together and it did the same thing as your mattress has. The only other thing i can think of is your bonking on it to much.0
