SeeTickets

:mad::mad:

See Tickets anyone else had problems with them/
I placed an order for my daughter in October the concert is this week and no tickets received. I have tracked my order last week it stated that all tickets for that event have been posted. I contacted them and was told that if not received 48 hrs prior to call them and arrange to pick them up at event.

I have just re-tracked my order on line it now gives me a totally different booking reference number and says that the tickets are in stock and will be dispatched soon.

I have was on the phone for over 20 mins to get cut off so called again , left hanging on again for 30 mins again to be cut off. Calls cost 10p per min

I ordered tickets from them for a gig last sunday. I was worried about the tickets, and shortly before the event (I think it was the thursday before) They emailed me to say that due to a technical error the tickets haven't been posted and i needed to collect them on the day at the venue. I did and it was all ok, but I think they are a bit amaturish.

They say that if collecting them from the box office the card holder has to be present, I am not going to the concert which is the problem.

Can't help you with your specific problem, but you can at least save yourself some money when phoning them if you call 0115 912 9000 rather than the 0870 number on their website.

Heck I've just bought tickets from them this morning. I'm not the luckiest of people at the best of times. I do hope this thread isn't an omen.

Could you give your daughter your card for the evening? That is all she will need to collect them.

SeeTickets have been around for years, problems are pretty rare. Then again, I am a great believer in karma ...

Looking at the website it states:

Can a third party collect my tickets from the box office?
No. The cardholder needs to collect and produce the credit card used to make payment and sign a receipt. This is part of the credit card merchant agreement and is in place to protect both See and the cardholder from potential credit card fraud.

I use them in preference to any other ticket site - esp Ticketmaster !!, never had any problems.
  • Unfortunately they are a bit of a shambles to use, but sometimes we have no other choice. This has happened to me, booked tickets on my fathers credit card for a gig 60 miles away, when I was making my own way there and my Dad couldn't come with. I ended up ringing them and eventually managed to get my postage costs refunded due to the inconvenience, then they sent me an e-ticket for the event. It was a long hard process, and the first lot of people you'll speak to will be unhelpful, but you've just got to keep taking it higher and higher till you get what you want/need. I'm not sure if an e-ticket will be available for you concert, as not all venues have the facilities to take them and scan them.
If you can either post on here or PM me the details for the gig, I should be able to tell you whether a e-ticket is a valid option for you to ask for.

On an MSE note, I know an e-ticket is generally cheaper to use, but I just love putting my actual gig tickets up on the wall!! :D

Please explain your comment further dmg.

My interpretation of your post is that karma may somehow play a part if I were to have problems with my ticket purchase? Is that what you are inferring?
