IE8 Tab Problem - Freezing Tabs

Ok, I'm at a complete loss now. I've downloaded, deleted, downloaded, renamed, deleted, (about 25 times) restarted, downloaded, deleted, dowloaded, renamed, removed AVG completely, restarted, deleted, downloaded, deleted, downloaded, renamed. And it's still not worked!!!!!!!

Id reboot first if you havnt already

Your logfile has a load of 'windows update' files running which is a tad odd

The download location should be C\DOCUMENTS\USERNAME\MY OCUMENTS\DOWNLOADS (if I remember correctly)

If you can find it, id recommend removing any combofix downloads and starting afresh

How is it not working? what happens when you try to run?

It's saying:

You appear to have a corrpt download.
Please download a fresh copy of ComboFix.exe

Im thinking Internext Explorer is infected

Download FIREFOX and try downloading combofix using that
(Im specifically trying to get combofix running as youve had a very nasty trojan and I suspect theres more on your hardrive)

Many thanks to both of you! It appears to have worked!!!!! I've opened about 50 tabs to test it and no hanging!! Thanks so very, very much!

You still need to run combofix (in my opinion) as theres a very good chance your still infected

try a scan with this, to see if anything is lingering

then install avast or avira (both free) as you have no resident scanner atm
