shall I wait till after Xmas?

As a loyal 02 customer for about 8 years, my existing contract is due to end in February. I am on Online 200 for £30 per month (12 mth contract) which gives me 200 xnetwork minutes and 500 texts. I use my minutes up every month but not all my texts and now they seem to be charging me for my GPRS web browsing which used to be inclusive.

I'm sure there are better deals out there so can anybody advise me what I should ask for when I phone 02 to negotiate.

I would like to upgrade from the Samsung D500 to the D600 (would like the red one but think thats exclusive to CPW).

Your help please......

  • Call up about 3 weeks before your contract ends and going thru the menu process to leave/cancel o2, ask for your pac, more than once if needed, you'll be put through to the retentions department, ask for a pac and they'll mention a "deal", at this point in time you should mention tmobiles flext tariff or web and walk tariffs whichever u take as more important (massive inclusive mins and/or sms - or - unlimited gprs)
Flext 35 being £180 credit on tmob which can result in a mix of mins and sms up to 900mins or 1800sms (20p/min for calls, 10p/sms) menjtioning what your ideal usage would be (above and beyond what you would normally use) like 500mins and 400sms

The D600 has been out a few months now so should be free hopefully they'll match your ideal tariff or come near and charge u no more than £20/month for it, £25/month if ur unlucky.

On a similar deal that i can now terminate. After a nokia n73 or d900. Spoke to o2 and quoted me £170 for a d900.

Think it is time to get a pac code and test the water and see what they can offer. After a nokia n73 but finding it hard to get a good deal. Paying 17.50 for 300 off peak mins and 500 texts.

    Anyone any suggestions
