ooo I'm SO cross...:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
tomorrow, at 9:15 I have the mobile tyre fitter coming. So I've been across the road to ask the lorry driver who parks his firm's lorry across the road from my house ALL WEEKEND EVERY WEEKEND if he would please move it so the tyre man can park across from mine. Well he's out all morning and no he won't. Even though he knows why I want the space and even though he knows the tyre fitter WILL want to park near my car (compressor etc)
This parking here has been going on for YEARS (why he can't drive to work in his car and pick up his lorry from the depot (and yes he has a depot) I don't know. The depot is under 2 miles away.
There have been LOADS of complaints about this lorry but it's UNDER the size so it's allowed (I checked about 3 years ago so have not involved myself in the petty behaviour that other neighbours have indulged in over this commercial vehicle on a residential street)
But for ONCE why could he not have done me a favour - just once?
I wouldn't even class this as a favour, just basic good manners. TBH our postie was making a nuisance of himself with where he was parking his van (exacerbated by it being the 5th vehicle he was parking on the road) and I asked him nicely to park it outside HIS house, but when he refused on a spurious basis, I contacted the PO and said he was making a nuisance of himself with it, he parked it elsewhere, but I didn't do it anonymously. We are still on speaking terms, he is no longer the postie (unconnected reason), since he knew he was being jolly selfish. My term is up in april but I haven't been to a meeting since May last year because I had Freja (missed 2 meeting for the girls physio) and I was not allowed to take her with me.. how ridiculous is that? What would she do? Dribble on their biscuits?!
We don't even get biscuits!! Or even coffee...how long is the term, is it 4 yrs?
And Well done on the money front. eta LOL at the chamois leather.
msgnomey I have often paid a babysitter, but never claimed the expenses, as to have regard to the work-life balance of the staff we tend to start meetings before DH gets home from work. Problem is one of leaving the baby, I may be mad but I tend not to leave mine at all for the first 6 months, b/f on demand and all that...
shysarah have you been wearing any costume/fashion jewellery? May be nickel dermatitis? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I have done nothing which I intended to do apart from have OH empty the bin in the kitchen.
However,
Packed up Freja's 3-9 months stuff.. and the smaller blankets.
Filled a carrier of rubbish from my room
Flattened a large box for christmas presents in several months time.
had a shower
Sulked, flounced and otherwise had a cob on
eaten toast.. going for some more in a sec..
emptied my bag for going to OH's mums next weekend.. need shampoo in my toiletries bag though so need to dig some out. I need deodourant in there too while I remember.
Brought washing down from my room.
My room is a pit and I really need it sorted before I get thoroughly distressed
Todays lists..
Strip, wash and replace all the childrens bedding. This will be interesting due to rain!
Fill a wheelie bin.. there seems to be far too much tat accumulating around the house so I'll deal with that
DW x2 or 3
I am quite tempted to throw a ginger cake in..but that might not get done as no chillies here to eat it.. can't be bothered
OH can bring Henry down
Downstairs vacc'd through
HHC in my room.. it is a pit!
Get out tape measure and measure up carpet/heating for back room, curtain pole for DD2's room and for front room.
Drag out sewing machine for DD2's curtains
Take Jacob for shoes and get CP for DD2's room.. DS1 having Jacob tomorrow so he will have to take him next weekend instead. I'll drag OH to shop through the week for curtain poleLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
The venue is decorated. My car is full of helium balloons. I'm going to take some Rescue Remedy as I'm a bit stressed at how organised everything is!
Think I will make a cup of soothing green tea....0 -
Evening all
Haven't caught up with the thread properly but did notice Pigpens' news - WTG!!!:T:T:T
DD is away for the weekend at her dads parents place for a christening so I'm making the most of being able to have a lie-in and managed to have nearly 11 hours sleep last night :jIt did involve me going to bed at 10pm but I feel so much better for it today.
I've been out to put my books through the doors on 2 new streets and now my back and left thigh are aching from the weight of carrying the books (they were banging my thigh as I was using a satchel to carry them)So the rest of today I'm taking it easy and concentrating on the computer based jobs I need to do and the obligatory weekend washing boogie :rotfl::rotfl:
