:hello:Hi ladies! I've been to the London Fashion Weekend with DD today! The catwalk show was really interesting, and we enjoyed looking at all the designer clothing - my word, they're expensive!! I loved this cashmere cardigan - a mere £145!!!! (And that's the heavily discounted price because it's last season.) I'm too MSE to buy it, but I'll look out for a pattern....;) DD found a very much reduced clutch bag for just £10, so that's the only thing we bought.
eta - not showing the right picture, it's the shawl collared cardigan, second row, third one along.
I agree about all the school stuff around the house - there's a stack upstairs in the bedroom, and another threatening to avalanche in the kitchen. I have already thrown out a huge pile of stuff, and taken a load more into school to file there...I did once ask on the thread what our other teachers did with all their work - I think it was msgnomey who said a huge memory stick! I think I'm not that confident that I won't lose some great resources if I just have a copy on the pc...
I worked all day yesterday on school stuff - and I think this week will be frantic, as I have Year 9 reports to do, homework booklet to prepare, and all the following week's lessons as I'm off to France next Monday for a week...
Love and hugs to all my flylady friends, especially Lady-Liberty Toots and lamewolf. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

hi all !
I'm in again this week, last week was frantic with the kids and i managed to do myself an injury, again.
Swear i'm the clumsiest person in history.
Hugs to toots and lady lid.
Thanks for starting fred again0 -
Just flying in to say I'm in this week, and thank you to FLC for the lists and motivation.
Ok, so far my cogitations re spending diary;
My objective is to note (and question) spends. The larger objective is to put the extra money towards this house idea for dad. However, I suffer from a lack of focus and hopefully the spending diary will raise my awareness of what is going on.
I need to meal plan and also need to freezer plan (note to self- inventory the freezer) so I have something on hand for "tired days". This will stop random visits to shops (and temptation) and hopefully random spends.
I also need to get back on track baking bread etc. Used to do it every day, and stopped for some reason or other. With flour at 50p in MrT's it's much more moneysaving to bake a loaf rather than buy one at 1.35!
Ok, got my wee spending book (raked out of the bookshelf) Will also make a note of dailies etc in it as well as use it as a spending diary.
Goes off mimbling to herself.......Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -
I'm in again, need clean tidy house as next 2 weekends we have our dancing show
Ironing done by Mr dancemum, Kids' bed changed, Mr A delivery put away, digital switchover site investigated,
had lovely tea, omlettes with home made oven chips & salad,
My mum is moving to a residential unit as isn't safe to go home yet. It is no nearer to home though just the same distance (12 miles) in other direction.
I will try spending diary thing too.0
