Marching on in March - The NSD Challenge

Evening all! well I'm back home at last - looooong trip back, 20+ hours - ugh!!!
Well yesterday (fri) was not a NSD day - partook in a bit of captive audience shopping at Hong Kong... a new camera bag (which was about £3 so a real bargain), and also a lovely jumper from Zara...which wasn't quite an essential
Haven't counted Thurs as a NSD atm, since I'm not sure if I counted the cash as a spend (suspect i didn't) so I kinda feel like I'm cheating otherwise.
Today wasn't a NSD, I did take that coat back to TK M*xx - too late to get the cash back, but did get a gift card refund. Picked up a new eyeliner from b**ts using a £5 off voucher that went out of date tomorrow - that was £2.75 instead of £7.75 (my current eyeliner is now the size of a fag butt!) I also got a card for my friends b'day. So small spends but no NSD.
Jinty - seems we have had the same problem with our kitty as yoursWe discovered she'd pee'd on the worktop (prob last weekend while OH was away ...but he couldn't locate the source of the smell) so one of the first things I had to do after a quick kip was bleach the worktop and throw away a tin of crackers and some other items that had been 'in the firing line'. I think she did it when the electrics blew while OH was away, but now I keep thinking I can smell cat wee elsewhere - but can't track the source so don't know if I'm just imagining it

NSD 12
It is so so hard not spending money...I wanted to get some pots today to plant a few flowers but then I remembered I had to check in here as my goal was to reach 20 NSD this month... oh noooooooo! This is so much harder than it looks! xx

Was going to declare today a NSD as I'd been good and taken out some money with last nights "big shop", but I ended up spending a little more to get Mothers Day presents for mum and stepmum. Oh well... got them both a really nice necklace each, and neither of them cost the earth to buy so I'm happy enough::: Total Paid Since LBM (27/05/10): £4639.85 Official Debt Gone!! :T ::::AThat money talks, I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"~ VSP2011: #104 ~

Just realised I haven't posted since last weekend. Been popping in, but have got so caught up in reading what everyone else has been up to, I've forgotten to add my tuppence worth :rotfl:
Managed to catch a NSD last Monday (after the shock of spending on the holiday). Had spendy days since as got car back from its repair and MOT - really rather reasonable though considering all the bits and bobs it had done, so that was a *phew* moment!
Been struggling to fit in a NSD since then, but turned out I managed one on Friday. Thought it was a small spendy day, as I had to send a £1 into school for a snack (as sis went in early), but she came home sick an hour later and gave me the quid back unspent. She's feeling much better now so I can feelabout the NSD.
So that takes me to NSD #10 and means I've hit target. :T:T Can I up my target to 11 please to see if I can fit in another one before the end of month (I know one more doesn't sound very much given there's quite a few days left, but will still be a stretch).
Today has been a spendy day, but I have managed to clock up some credits on Sl1cethep1e too - it's all scouts at 12p a track at the moment, so it's worth doing. Am frazzled though as almost none of the tracks are music I'd listen to normally. Money doesn't clock up very fast on there and am sure it'll drop down to normal rates soon so am sticking with it though. Just send in the guys in white coats if I start to talk more gibberish than usual. :rotfl:Official DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T
Student again now and trying to fight the debts that are creeping up again :eek:0 -

Don't let 'em get to you, you should set up a support network with BDINI both of you are in the same boat atm.
We're here if you need to rant, need a hug, some support or a kick up the bum.
Take care

All i can say is hang on in there & rant away on here whenever you want, everyone is so supportive & always think it's better out than kept inside where it drives you mad!!
I know it's a stupid question with the economy the way it is, but are there any other jobs around that you can apply for?
(((((((((((((((((((((((huge hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))) try & have a good weekend away from it all!! xxx
Thanks BDINI and spoon, the support here is fantastic.
On the job searching thing, I have been staying in this job partly because I don't want to expose myself by looking for something else in the currently climate. So because I'm scared really; and the job situation has knocked my confidence so much that I didn't think I was worth a better job. I'm past that now- I am sooo much better than this job! But as wit40iwtwan has said I too have options and although the industry I'm in (construction) is pretty poor at the moment there are things out there. So although I'm trying to have a weekend off, I am also putting some time and energy into my CV, which is at least 2.5 years out of date.
OK back on topic, no NSD today, but nothing too unnecessary - passport renewal, including the photos at boots, hairspray (ran out this morning and as tying up is helping put off going to the hairdresser so sort of MSE!), body lotion and toilet roll. And a burrito for lunch, which was my little weekend extravagance.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -

Good morning all!
Sadly no NSD's to report, went to C0stc0 yesterday for a couple of things and DID stick to the list, so that was a plus!
Ran into M&D there and they treated us to coffee and a bun!
Spent the rest of the day in the garden doing a bit of tidying. Got the front done so today it's the back! Not planning to spend anything today, so back on track hopefully.
Have a lovely day everyone:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Not reported in for a while, so here goes......
Last reported NSD was 18th, which was #7
Saturday 19th was a small-ish spend day, as already reported
Since then.......
Sunday 20th I went out for a pub meal in the evening with my friend, and managed to beat him to the bill. Have been debating whether to take this from my 'anything else' budget (which means it counts as a spend), or from the 'extra to be used for fun, and not to be accounted for' part of my overtime money - but have decided to take it from the former, meaning another spend day
Monday 21st - spend day at work
Tuesday 22nd - finally managed NSD #8
Wednesday 23rd - and NSD #9
Thursday 24th - another spend day at work, including a corn-fed free-range chicken (almost 2kg) which should have been £9.54 but was reduced to 99p as I hoveredWent into my slow cooker over-night, and I'm now getting my fill of yummy chicken sandwiches and chicken & mushroom rissotto (the mushrooms also being from clearance that night, but mint condition as they were just from a split packet
)
Friday 25th - another spend day, as I nipped into work for final reductions and managed to pick up the new managers special for 19p instead of £1.59 (plus some cheap pies, and a few more reduced bits and bobs)
Saturday 26th - I was very, very tempted to wander around the shops, but I stayed strong and managed to clock up NSD #10 :T
Not sure how today will play out, so not declaring yet. But with 5 days left in the month (including today) I still need 2 more NSDs, and I've got at least one more day (possibly 2 days) where a D/Debit will halt an NSD, so I could do with keeping today spend freeI'm going to need milk tomorrow I think (may eke it out until Tuesday, but could be tight - and that's only possible as I've been asked to change shifts this week such that my full days, which mean porridge for breakfast, are Wed & Thur instead of Mon & Tues)
Off to catch up with posts since last Sunday now.......Cheryl0 -
Talking of friends on here - anyone seen Cheryl? Where are you?
I reckon I've done an extra 64 hours over the last 8 weeks, and I was on annual leave for one week which means I've worked the extra hours in just 7 of them
Running has totally gone to pot and my half-marathon is 12 weeks today (number arrived in the post yesterday), but I can't currently manage more than 2 miles at a time
So it's a good thing that the lady who was off (post-op) came back on Wednesday. Means no overtime looking likely for quite a while (vague possibility in week starting 23/5), so I can start pounding the streets/trails on a more regular basis to try and get back to the 6 miles I've been doing over the next couple of weeks - and then up to the 13 miles I need to be capable of by 19th June !!!!
Slight change of shifts this week though - the lady who's just come back needs Wed & Thur off (instead of Mon & Tues) due to a family funeral on Wed (and family staying with them Wed night), so I'm only in for the afternoon the next 2 days and then full days on Wed/Thur instead of the other way around. Wasn't a problem for me to swap, and probably makes better sense for my running anyway as it means I can go out Mon/Tue mornings and then take Wed/Thur as rest days before heading out again on FriCheryl0
