Hello to all MSE users
I am a healthcare professional & here to get your advice on the following please
1. I bank with Lloyds TSB (Platinum £17/month)..been with 'em since '05
Pros (i use): £2000 overdraft limit; Worldwide travel Ins for me/direct family; iphone mobile Ins; Home start AA cover; good experience with internet banking; 24 hrs UK based cust service
Cons: hassle using debit card abroad (fraud prevention gimmick); Not happy with £17/month a/c fee
Is it worth changing for a better bank or just downgrading to basic Lloyds current a/c and taking other benefits like AA and travel Ins seperately; Also if the change bank, will all my banking history with 'em be erased as I do internet banking and dont receive paper statements:o
+ i dont know if the new bank can match my overdraft limit
2. I have Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo card (MC+Amex)
Pros: two cards rather than one; collecting airmiles reward; same login details/website for current a/c, savings a/c, ISA and credit card statements (already i think my mind is going to be blown up with the amount of login/password details i need to remember these days:eek:); they give me a very generous credit limit of 10K combined on two cards
Cons: can only access online statements for last 3 months; monthly rate of interest is 1.24% for purchases(15.9 APR) & 2.2% for cash although i repay in full each month & dont do cash withdrawals:T; I get charged for using my card abroad (only used it twice last year)
I was thinking of changing to BA Amex credit card or Tesco Clubcard Credit card but dont know how is their online statement facility is (similar to Lloyds showing only last 3 months transactions?) and the credit limit they r offering on website is only £1200 (I need atleast 3-5k)
Sorry for a long post but will truly appreciate your take on my situation and many thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.

Yes you can downgrade to classic which will cost you nothing BUT - higher APR if you overdraw and no free overdraft (£250 with Platinum).
Your account number will stay the same - your banking history with LTSB will not be affected in any way.0
