Hi and welcome to the PPI threads.
The questionnaire replaced the template letter on this site and was issued by the FOS to save time later on, for example, if you wanted to make a complaint to the FOS, save a copy and you send them this as your complaint as well.
However, you can write a letter if you prefer, but its always best to use your own words for a better success rate, just remembering the main facts of why you want to make a reclaim with your reasons, you do not have to give any figures, as they should have details of these on data.
And enclose you account number in relation to that account your claiming on.
And give them the timescale of 8 weeks to come back with a decision.
Hope that helps, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Templates do in general have a lower success rate than personalised complaints. Mainly if people using templates put information in that is not relevant and easily refuted. That makes you less credible (or even worse, identifies you as a liar) where a balance of probability decision is made. The decision in those cases tends to go with the most credible side. So, if you use a template, add some personalisation and make sure the things are relevant to the type of PPI you are complaining about.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
