Hi
I lost my contract mobile phone a while ago and put an insurance claim through which has now been settled and new phone came a few weeks ago.
The phone was reported lost to the phone company and the police and imei number was taken.
I have had a call from the police to say that they have recovered the phone. What can I do with this??? can I sell it on??? Is the fact that the imei number has been blocked a problem to selling it???
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Legally the phone now belongs to the insurance company, so it's not yours to sell.
Not that it will work in the UK anyway, it would have to be sold out of the country to be of much use.0 -
If the insurance company give you it back there's nothing stopping you from phoning your network and having it unblacklisted, then it's yours to do what you want with0

get the phone back from the police, once you have it you'll need to contact the insurance company and inform them the police found the phone. try and sweetalk them into letting you keep the phone, then as the previous poster said try and get it off the blacklist if not then you might be able to sell it as spares.
Good luck0
