Morning All
Up early today, footy kicks off at 10am (first game) then a dash down to another pitch for DS1 game which kicks off at 10.30am. DS2 hasn't a game this weekend. Rugby this afternoon. So this weekend we have had football training, cricket coaching, 2 x football matches and a rugby game! Not complaining would rather have them doing organised stuff than standing on the street corners at night annoying the neighbours, which is unfortunately happening at the moment, a rather large group of children aged 12+ are generally being very noisy, skidding on their bikes and kicking footballs where ever they choose. We know a few of these children and they are not bad kids, just enjoying a bit of freedom but not being mindful of others, but it makes the elderly neighbours nervous.
Well best get on and have some breakfast and another cup of tea. Have a good day wahtever your plans.

I found the perfect solution to the 'noisy but not aggressive kids at night' problem. When my DS10 was a baby this was happening - just silliness, sitting on a low wall near our house laughing, jumping about, smoking, being noisy and pretending to be hard. At 10 o'clock I'd had enough, and knew yelling and being all grumpy-grown-up would only exacerbate the problem. I went outside in my slipper and dressing gown, sat down with them, said, right, carry on - I can only hear noise from my bedroom and thought if I sit with you at least I can hear what the gossip is - I got embarrassed looks, muttered apologies and they all sidled off home!! Over time they all got to learn that DS went to bed at 7 (I just had to pop my head out of his bedroom window and tell them he's going to bed now!) and they all went quiet - some of them ended up telling me their life-tales and coming in for tea and biscuits!0

Morning my lovelies

Cat woke me at 4.30am coming for a cuddle and I didn't go back off to sleep
Still got up with kids and did my 20 min Shred DVD at 7.15am this morning  Feel slightly ratty and not got a lot of patience
H was in a grump because the Ipod Touch wasn't charged and he uses that for his running. He won it and gave it to me and we sort of share it. But because this one time it wasn't charged he's going on about how he's going to get his own. So this will be his 3rd iPod to add to his 2 Shuffles he's already got. He's already previously owned an iPod Touch (second hand) and a brand new Nano......he's so impulsive when it comes to stuff like this. he did the same with an SLR Digital camera. My dad got one and he decided he wanted on.......then he decided that he wasn't using it enough so sold it and went back to a more compact digital camera. He just doesn't think about stuff before he decides he wants it. Well I ain't gonna worry about spending uncessarily if he's not going to
Sorry rant over

Plans for today are it's my nieces birthday today and we're heading over to a party for her. Tea will be some of the pork I bought from Costco done in the SC. Ironing needs to be done although uniform for DS was done last week.
Sistercas - Happy birthday to Mr SC, enjoy your night in.
esmf - Good luck re-homing your pooch xx
Cranky - my lovely if I were nearer I'd would come and help you xx
Bargainbird - whoa slow down, you don't want to peak too early

Morning all,
Am on day 3 of my 5 days off, and I haven't done much really yet (apart from see the MIL, sort the dogs, take my mum to a farmers' market
)
Today is downtime day - I know I should be doing something, but there's a book to be finished, The Archers to catch up on, another book to be started, sleeping - all sorts! The dogs have already been walked at 8, so they won't need to go out before 5ish.
Will probably also make a start on the housework later. It's not bad as I've hardly been in, but the floors need cleaning and as I've just bought a new mop I now have no excuse.
OH is still not back - he's now expecting to be in the country either on the 12th or 17th March. Our friends are getting married on the 19th so he'd better be here as I'm chief bridesmaid (it's a handfasting so am doing half of the ceremony ).
Dinner tonight is Italian, in the local restaurant. Mum's treating me. Dad's been ill for a while (better now) so she feels like going out. I did offer to pay, but she's insisted.
Have good days all.

Morning all,
Beautiful day here:j, got my bedding in the wm, and will put dd,s in after, she is still sleeping, but I will gether up after this, she is off out with her dad today to watch her dsb play footie.
Need to pop to Lidl today as I am out of washing liquid and softner, will have a mooch round for bargaing too.
Dinner today is roast pork, sainsbugs delivered a huge bit for £5 odd, so will do us a few meals.
My dad came home yesterday mum went to see him friday, and could not bear to see him in there, he was begging and crying to come home, which is what sis and I have had to deal with while mum has been away. They have more help coming in from next week, which mum has promised not to cancel, and dad is going to a centre on Thursdays. I dont know how long it will last, but he is not ready for a home full time, compared to the other people in there he is relatively ok. Will go up and see them later on.
Happy Birthday To Mr SC :T
Have good days all, hugs where needed xx0 -
Morning all
Just been chatting with my friend in NZ
She has finalised her wedding venues. The ceremony will be in a botanical gardens and the reception in a winery
Can't wait now!
I need to get on with my stupid uni assignment today
, want to finish it by the end of the day. It's just bugging me. It's not an essay but a commentary so completely different to what I'm used to writing. I'm going to knuckle down and work on it once I've had breakfast.
I have to stay in til at least 1pm anyway as Orange should be delivering my new battery - god help them if it doesn't come again :rotfl:.
I want to pop to Aldi or Lidl (depending on which has better offers) as I'm out of fresh veg.
OS wise - WM on with bedding, cleaned bathroom this morning, emptied bins, need to put bins and recycling out when I go out later.
Have a good day all
