I am looking for a better deal with my mobile. Currently I am with T mobile and pay £40 per month for unlimited internet, 1200 mins and unlimited texts (or something like that) It's the flexi 40.
I need to cut the price down, but I don't use my land line, so need some decent minutes. I am disabled and often need to call my care team. The internet is valuable for when I am in hospital as i can e-mail people and so safe my minutes. I'd be no good at this wangling business as they just confuse me if i go through to retentions. Thanks for any help

Thanks for that
I presume I would have to unlock my phone as it's a T-mobile phone? Would that be easy to do?

Try it. The ease in which you can do this depends on the make/model you have.0

Cost me £15 to unlock my phone from orange (samsung omnia i8910) - it was very easy to do online. You can get £5 free credit by getting a sim card from any existing giffgaff user. I'm not allowed to post a link as a new user of this site. If you can't get a sim from someone else you can get £4 cashback through quidco. As its PAYG, you can throw away the sim when you've used up the free credit if you don't think its any better than your existing/previous provider.
The only criticism I have of Giffgaff is that there's no facility at the moment to view recent calls. Virgin Mobile and Tesco Mobile both allowed me to log in and view my kids usage. I can only see the balance and no of free calls/text left on Giffgaff. Giffgaff does have an optional feature that it will display your balance after each call. You can turn that off if you find it annoying. Its the cheapest option I could find.0
