Well done Kit, you have done really well with your marking this time - I'm proud of you :A :A

Mam was very sleepy when I got there - my brother had told the hairdresser not to do her hair today as she was so sleepy. She looked confused and very drowsy when she woke as I went into her room, so I went straight up to ask the carers to pull her up the bed so she could sit upright for her dinner - it's funny how they do it, they don't pull her, like my sister and I do when we're both there, they lower the bed almost flat then grab the sheet either side of her by her shoulders and just haul the sheet up the bed and she comes right up to the top of the bed with it. She gets confused when they do it, and very worried, but I was holding her hand and I nearly got puller along the bed too ;) Then, when they raise the pillow section back up, she is sitting up properly and, as well as looking better like that, it is better for her posture

I fed her the bowl of mash and gravy/pureed meat and she ate it all, though it took longer than normal as she did struggle a bit, and had a choking fit half way through. They had brought her a piece of madiera cake as well, so I got her a nice bowl of ice cream and crumbled the cake into it, and she ate that no problem. She had her two dunked biccies OK but struggled with her cup of tea again, so I put that to one side after a few sips. She was quiet, not talking, except later, when having her ice cream, her mind started to wander and she said she had been looking out of the window to see if my Dad was coming home, but hadn't seen him, so I said he is still out, and she just tutted saying 'as usual' ;)

When the nurse came with her meds, she took them fine and even happily let her put her mask on for the nebuliser - she normally pulls a face as she doesn't like it. Nurse said they were still just keeping an eye on her, but when I mentioned that her bowels may be loose as she makes a gurgling sound when opening them as if diarrhea, so she said they would check that too, though they hadn't noticed anything like that sorry for the detail but this is when she gets infections and they have to be so careful about it. I also told the nurse that she had choked a couple of times tonight and she said she had heard her a few times today, so they will keep an eye on this too

Aesop, I'm dying to hear how you got on with your mystery shopping this afternoon with no voice ;);)

I'm gonna have some dinner now, just some cooked meats, smoked salmon, Phili cheese and crispbakes, with a few tomatoes I think - back later
