thanks guys. But I don't do phones. I text a lot :D DS will not let me talk to people on the phone and I don't when DH is in the house!

    lol

We went to the fair today, DH had dicky tummy so stayed at home and DS and I went. He loved it, but my boy is FEARLESS! kinda scary! He even wanted to go on the big rides, but as I hadn't paid for a band to go on rides, I couldn't take him on them.

DS still not well but not shaking today, just cough and runny nose.

Pleased to hear you are all having a fab time :D. couldn't upload your pics to facebook. couldn't work out how to get them out of my messages :(

Hi this is kit under 3dogs' name!!!!!

Hello petal we are still having lots of fun. Today we went to the Stephenson Railway Museum as Andy is a bit of a railway buff. Along the way we saw evidence of Newcastle's industrial heritage in the form of bridges, old railway lines, factories, the closed shipyards that made England great and allowed us to have an Empire. We had a fantastic train ride on an old fashioned train and then pootled off to Newcastle City Centre. This was my fault as i was broke and was worried I wouldn't be able afford anything in the Metro Centre. We have had a Phd in Double the Difference price check promotion. Even I know what i am doing. Of course this necessitated a visit to our favourite supermarket and we have made fantastic deals. It has been a real eye opener for me. I can't believe I have been able to experience such an amazing offer. Susan has been keeping us posted about the dynamic thread in the Grabbit Thread. Huge housepoints to all involved. Consumer Power at its greatest. I have witnessed the Prisoner's Dilemma (economics theory) in action- amazing!!!!

We are having a late supper as Susan's niece and grandnieces have visited tonight and entertained us. I have been playing Scooby Do with them. Good to be allowed to be a kid again. We return tomorrow, it feels as though we have been here for weeks. We are just about to have supper and then up v early to catch the 7am trains home!!!!!

    Blooming marvellous. Highly recommended :D:D:D:D:D:D

    soooooooooo jealous.

I am not allowed to do any of the fun stuff when I go to Newcastle. We have to go and visit his brother and sister, which I don't agree with, as they can't be bothered with us, why they can't come to his Mam's house and see us? anyway, because of all this stuff, our trips up there are strictly family.

I really want to do the sightseeing stuff. And am determined next time to say stuff everyone this is what I am doing. I wanted to see where they film Byker Grove, but it is has been turned into something else, so I can't now :( so disappointed.

AWe heard from Puds and arranged to meet him about 2 pm - I took the guys on a car tour of the Tynemouth, Cullercoats, Whitley Bay, St Mary's Lighthouse and then along to Seaton Sluice to meet Puds & his friend plus Smokey dog. We got to the pub and sat outside in the sun waiting for them. After a short while, Puds rang and said, we are here, sitting in the garden, where are you? After a few confused minutes, we realised that one group was at the wrong pub .................. us :o:o I had just pulled up at the pub by memory but it is at least 30 years since I had been there   so we had to shoot along to the next pub along the see front to find them

Puds is lovely and so was his friend and we had a lovely chat in the beer garden then we had the carvery lunch - Puds & his friend didn't eat as they'd had a very large breakfast. After eating, we went for a long walk over the sand dunes and along the beach and back to the cars - cue the hugging as they left, and we came a different way home and have spent a lazy evening chatting and eating chocolates
You're all lovely peoples and it was great to meet, thanks for the invite. Lisa said she enjoyed herself that afternoon too - and i couldnt believe how much sand she had managed to accumulate in her trainers.

It was a huge relief to find that Smokey dog was allowed in the beer garden - compared to the alternative of being in the van (even with the cooling window blinds down etc) it was quite warm that day so i reckon he much preferred being sat with us being fussed over and protecting us from pigeons, wasps and that [STRIKE]Kit[/STRIKE] cat.

After we left Seaton sluice, we were soon trying to find a loo - headed (in theory!) for a mcdonalds but the satnav was sulking like it does sometimes and it decided that our final destination would be on a rather dodgy looking housing estate instead

On the way back, we briefly visited Hadrians wall, it was getting quite late so didnt have much time there, ended up parking the campervan overnight on a currys carpark in Carlisle. It was pretty uncomfortable - will have to get a mattress or something if I ever sleep in the downstairs part of the camper in future - but hopefully wont have to if the elevating roof gets fixed.
This morning after a greasy (and expensive) breakfast at the motorway services, by 9am we were in Blackpool for even more sand dunes and a ten mile walk, which even though flat along the promenade has really drained all my energy - but i guess that wasnt helped by lack of sleep!
Overall the weekend has been brilliant - souvenires include: some great photos, a pair of acheing feet with blisters and a load of sand in the back of the van :D

Glad to hear you've had another brill day :-)

Havent a clue what the prisoner's dilemma is, but if it involves double the difference or draining the 12% profits increase of Mr T, then you're onto a winner :-)

... did you propose to George, Kit?!
    blimey, you kept that quiet!

I hope you have an easy journey home tomorrow :-)

Andy here now, also using 3dogs' laptop thanks once again for meeting up, really has been a great weekend up here, even tho it was rather damp up in edinburgh. Puds, Kit says thats exactly what she means,,,, i spent £17.38 at Mr. T's today and should get a voucher back for £17.32 so looking forward to that one.

Aesop, make sure you put your foot down next time u get up this way as the sights and places to visit are superb, the people are mainly pleasant and its great to chill amongst some great friends.
