We are back now - having a cold drink and ice cream to wind down - what a day we've had :j :j Had a great journey up and then waited for George's train to arrive - we were all looking one way waiting for him and he came from the other direction - it was so funny as Kit was hiding behind Steve so she couldn't be seen :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway we all hugged and chatted and then went up to have a couple of soft drinks waiting for Beanie near the bus station and she soon arrived .............. so more hugs & squishing ;) Then we all went into another pub and had lunch (Slug & Lettuce) no that's not what we had to eat :o and we chatted and chatted again - poor George could hardly get a word in for Kit chatting :rotfl: :rotfl:

By then it had started to rain, but we still had a walk about and looked in a few shops - then we had a cuppa in BHS and Beanie went off home cue more squishing and we all walked up to the castle what a climb that was and by then the sun had come out and it was lovely. Then, it was time to wander back down and head to the train station - George waited for our train to leave before heading off to catch his train more hugs and promises to meet again ;)

And then, to top off a perfect day, we had two couples opposite us on the train on the way up, and they were on the same train on the way back - and we all got on like a house on fire - Kit exchanging nostalgic tunes of the past with them - we had a great repartee with them and we had a ball - I'm not sure that everyone else on the train agreed but we had enjoyed it
Contentment is infectious and today, we shared a smile and spread smiles along the way (says Kit)

    THE PERFECT DAY

P.S. Kit apologises for the stress she caused before this trip and says she is not scared now :D:D

glad you are all having fun, hope the weather stays fine over the weekend for you xxx

He's asleep on the floor at the moment, on the duvet with a pillow. He was sitting on the chair, trying to eat pizza and his eyes closed...

He wanted to go out too. Was trying to make me spend lots of money in town. Felt sorry for him and bought him a few things. Had to say not to fairground rides. £1 for a short ride. There is a fair local to us £4.99 unlimited rides. Said if he is better Monday, will take him there.

sorry to hear he's poorly, I hope he gets better soon

It has been one of those days that changes your life. You know when everything falls into place and you understand why you are here. Today i had a purpose. It has been such a perfect day (everything fell in to place the company, the surroundings, the lovely messages people kept posting and texting, PS Phone has officially died and is being recharged will be ok tomorrow I hope). Porge is everything and more. In fact he officially rocks and he is my hero for life. I learned sooo much - his reflections, the guided tour he gave, his company - everything. Dude you rock!!!!!! Long email when I get home be prepared pour yourself a flask and be prepared.

Beanie was so nice the naughty beverages you provided us with were fab and much appreciated. Funny isn't it? we saw the faces of people we post with everyday and realised how amazing they all are and obstacles they face with a smile, with dignity, courtesy, honour and integrity. On Susan's thread we are not alone. I cannot say how much MSE has changed my life and even more so today. A day I shall never, ever forget. To the future my friends and i will know never, ever to be scared again. Onwards and upwards life is for living and I saw that more than ever today. Am glad to be here and grateful for it all. It could not have been improved.

Off for supper now. A girl has got to eat!

awwww Kit, your post made me cry. You are not allowed to do that to me on a Sunday morning after very little sleep again!

So pleased you are all getting to meet everybody :D

DS is better, but still woke me up 3 times. DH is upset as I didn't order him a chinese last night. I had no money, didn't know when he was coming in and was tired after looking after DS and carrying shopping home on bus. But why would DH care?

he tried to make beef curry this morning, told him we didn't have the right things for it, but he has left my entire store cupboard out! grrr.

Hi guys, thought i'd pop in to say hi.
Having trouble with my internet right now so struggling to get anything posted.

SW was a little quieter that i expected... :D
Was great to see everybody and was glad that the rain didn't put a dampener on things. I wasn't feeling too great because i was so tired, but hopefully didn't spoil anyones enjoyment of the day. I did feel a little stupid when everyone started passing out easter gifts etc and i hadn't brought anything though.

We seemed to hit it off quite quickly and lots to chat about. Andy and i didn't even mind the shopping trip :) I was glad Beanie could make it too. I think we all had a good day, even with SW threatening to pack me into a suitcase etc.

When they were leaving i was trying to wave to them but don't think anyone saw me - i was about 10m in front of stationary train they went past. I think i slept all the way home but was glad to have met such lovely people. Was a little concerned about the weather making things difficult, but the rain stopped just in time and cleared the air nicely - fresh air when we reached the castle and some lovely views. SW's glucose levels seemed to like the Scottish air, but no-one was so keen on the Irn-Bru.

    Will pop back later.

Another lovely day had by all - the guys let me have a lie-n this morning and helped themselves to bacon sarnies till I got up about 11 am

We heard from Puds and arranged to meet him about 2 pm - I took the guys on a car tour of the Tynemouth, Cullercoats, Whitley Bay, St Mary's Lighthouse and then along to Seaton Sluice to meet Puds & his friend plus Smokey dog. We got to the pub and sat outside in the sun waiting for them. After a short while, Puds rang and said, we are here, sitting in the garden, where are you? After a few confused minutes, we realised that one group was at the wrong pub .................. us :o:o I had just pulled up at the pub by memory but it is at least 30 years since I had been there   so we had to shoot along to the next pub along the see front to find them

Puds is lovely and so was his friend and we had a lovely chat in the beer garden then we had the carvery lunch - Puds & his friend didn't eat as they'd had a very large breakfast. After eating, we went for a long walk over the sand dunes and along the beach and back to the cars - cue the hugging as they left, and we came a different way home and have spent a lazy evening chatting and eating chocolates :j :j

As usual, Andy has already gone to bed, and Kit, Steve and I are sitting chatting, reviewing the day's activities and planning tomorrow's

Hope everyone is OK and enjoying themselves

Aesop - hope you are feeling better hun - we are thinking of you - give a ring if you want to chat - we love you petal :A

Glad you had a nice day, and being at the wrong pub is the sort of thing that I'd do.
