LowCostHolidays

I made a holiday booking through LowCostHolidays and am due to pay the final amount soon.. Although im worried as the code i have for my flight is LCHTBA, which i believe to mean low cost holidays to be announced.. Can anyone tell me why i dont have a proper airline code?? i am due to travel on the 16th of June.. :(

Where are you flying from and to and what times have they given you?
  • Im flying from Manchester to Lanzarote at 19.20
  • It means they can't confirm the flights until nearer the departure date - very dangerous company with very poor customer service.

Manchester Airport shows no flight to Lanzarote going out that late. Have you paid in full for the flight element? if so, may be worth while contact them and stating that as you ahve apid in full for the flight, they should issue the ticket to you.

If you ahve just paid a deposit, then i'm sorry to say - expect a flight change (maybe for the better, maybe for the worst!)

Hi, i had the same thing last year, i think it is because the budget airlines have not released their summer timetable yet. In the end our flight time was 40 mins later, so worth double checking.

As Dave has said, there does not appear to be any flights going to Lanzarote leaving Manchester at that time in the evening.

Lowcostholidays do not charter aircraft or have allocations of seats on aircraft themselves. They are just a travel agent, who will book you onto a flight, either directly with a low cost airline, or book you onto a charter flight via a tour operator.

What I imagine has happened is you are booked onto a charter flight and at the time of booking the tour operator and low cost holidays did not have the flight number loaded. This is not unusual, charter flight programes are planned months in advance and often change before actually operating.

I wouldn't say its anything to worry about yet. Call them and ask them who your flight is booked with; and if it has changed. There are flights to Lanzarote that day from Manchester, with Jet2, monarch, Thomson and Thomas Cook. Do you have any paperwork relating to your booking yet? And is anything mentioed at all about who the flights are with (airline or tour operator?)
  • To tower, how far in advance did you find out about the flight time change?
  • To bagand96,Thanks. Ive just realised i read our flight time wrong it says 15:00 and we arrive at 19:30 but im sure when i looked before there were no flights to Lanzarote from Manchester at that time..
I only have an email confirmation, on which it says only the flight code that ive mentioned,no airline or tour operater.

Ok, there are a couple of flights which have similar timings to that:

    Jet2 14:35 - 19:10
    Monarch 15:25 - 19:40

I suspect you are on one of those, although there are departures in the morning by Monarch, Thomson, and Thomas Cook, so its not beyond the realms of possibility you could find yourself on one of those. I would give them a call, and ask who your flight is booked with, you wish to know before paying the balance. It is not an unreasonable question.

To be honest i can't remember, but we did have an Easyjet flight No,so we worked it out. i seem to remember we had our details re sent by low cost and them not being updated.

We also had to fill out the details you need when flying to spain (passport no/names) on the easyjet site.
