Orange Issue?

I have been with Orange BBand for about a year now, I pay £17 for unlimited which I was quite happy with. Last week they phoned and told me I could take there home phone package, they would upgrade my broadband speed and I would get McAfee Internet Security free as a loyal customer all for £29 a month, not bad I thought and that I would receive conformation in the post and an email.
So Thursday no email or letter received so I emailed them, The inform me they don't do McAfee Internet Security only some online child security package which is free anyway and they upgraded my speed apparently but it made no difference, so called them and told them I wanted to cancel the home phone and just go back to broadband, they told me they couldn't do this as I have entered a new 18 month contract, after I informed them about cooling of period they came back to me with "We can cancel the home phone but broadband will now be £24 as prices have changed" and again stuck in another 18 month contract:mad:
Now where do I stand here? Are they trying it on?

They have failed to confirm in writing and I believe you should be able to cancel under DSR as it's a service they were offering.

Dont know where the £24 comes from as on the site it appears to be £150 -
lol what a fly tactic that was. http://shop.orange.co.uk/broadband/compare-all
All orange packages offer upto 20mb, So no other package will get you faster connection. The Mcafee is offered on all packages.
Only difference is with the call packages and line rental.0 -

I'm not on an LLU broadband package so I assume IPstream is more expensive, so now time to write a dirty email0 -
Ah yes the IPStream is more expensive and as such there is no way you could get more speed0

Why would you want McAfee, even if it was free? There are loads of free AV programs infinitely better than McAfee. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
