Racked up a huge bill by accident

Options
Hi Fellow Members,

I am on a T Mobile plan with an international booster which gives me 60 minutes each month to a destination of my choice.
My billing date is 27 of each month.

This morning I made a 45 mins long phone call not realizing that its 26th and not 27th.

Now that phone call which I thought is coming from my new allowance is actually costing me extra £46.

Is there any way I can revert those charges, I was going to call the operator but thought I will check here first if you guys have any useful suggestions.

thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by revert those charges; revert them to what?
Do you mean, will the operator backdate the booster to include today? If so, you can only try.

If the T system works the same way as ours, then it's impossible to back date a bundle.
  • I do realize its my mistake, this is a huge set back especially towards the end of month, I am going to call them and explain, not getting my hopes up.

Beans and Toast for next week it seems.

  • I called T and explained the situation. Also explained if flexible booster for next month can be included for today as suggested by TechHead.

The lady on phone checked somethings and offered to cover half of the bill which is not too bad. At this point I will take any discount. She is going to check some more options tomorrow and give me a ring if I can save anymore.

    Fingers crossed.

So far so good. Hope she can come back with more good news.

OMG which country were you calling? - I've had a look at my mobile tarriff and apart from calling Antarctica @ 46p per minute there don't seem to be any countries THAT expensive to call!

Without an option T-Mobile can charge high rates internationally. US used to be 50p a min, but only 20p with international option.

Even 20p is pure theft! Most EU countries and and US should not really be more than about 5p/min from a mobile.

Indeed. Mobiles operators must charge less than BT do for landlines (e.g. 21p for France).

Fair play to them if they're going to cover half of the bill - I made a similar mistake with UK calls and it can be a big shock.
