yes DL has uk based call centres, but some of the back office work has been outsourced to India, and it has been a bit of a joke at the moment.
1. DL would send the scanned work out to india (this has been going on since July)
2. In January it appears that the third company was not FSA regulated,so DL has big panic on to get that sorted.
3. If anything needs amending on a policy India are overriding any refunds to £nil but allowing AP`s to go through.
4. Thousands & thousands of items are being returned to UK as they are unable to deal.
so you get 2 consultants on either side of the world processing 1 item and could be done 1st time in the UK.....its so typical of RBS the way they run things0 -
Elephants call centre is NOT in the Uk.
I have also been with Budget and they are most definately not in the Uk !
At the min I am insured through Barclays and their call centre IS in the UK.The loopy one has gone :j0 -

I was with Budget for a few years and to be honest the main reason I cancelled my policy with them was because every time I called them up to discuss something we had trouble understanding each other (on both sides , not just me finding it hard to understand them!)
To me a UK based callcentre is very important for the above reason as if you need to call up to make a claim etc its a stressful enough time without the added stress of difficulty in understanding what the other is saying. The loopy one has gone :j0 -
