Standard mail is not guaranteed and 1st or 2nd class can take weeks to arrive on some occasions. However, none of that matters, you have waited long enough so bung in a claim for INR as that still gives the seller 10 days for the parcel to arrive.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I emailed the seller 2 days ago and asked for a refund as the item had not arrived. Seller didn't reply so I opened a claim yesterday stating the item had not arrived.
Item arrived today. It's awful, imo. Auction pic shows a crisp, vibrant print (item is a canvas print) and what arrived is dull and has colour variations not shown on the auction pic. (There is purple at the edge of a red poppy for example and there are blurry parts which were not seen on the auction pic). Also the wooden framing that the canvas is stretched round, has caused a 'ridge' so you can see a line on the front of the canvas.
Seller's auction page states returns must be made within 14 days. I'm happy to box this up and go to the PO right now, but what happens if the seller is actually away?
I also have 2 addresses, where do I return it to?
The shipping label gives a return address but the enclosed invoice/delivery note states a different address.
Can they do this.....'Please note, in the event of a refund the p&p cost is deductable, even if the p&p is listed as free'
They want to deduct £9.99 from the refund despite the fact P&P was free.
Edit: Spoke to Ebay on the phone who said seller cannot deduct in this way, he needs to refund in full. Seller has now agreed to do so and item has been returned to him today.Herman - MP for all!0
