In Need of a Bank Account!

Hi,

I am looking to open a bank account that has a visa debit facility but that doesn't require a credit check or are not overly fussed on what your credit score is as my credit rating is in a pretty horrific way at the moment :(

I was looking at the Natwest Step Account, but have seen a few reviews where people have had problems with it. Also I only have a provisional driving licence as ID which is proving to also be a problem with Natwest?

Was just wondering if anyone had any advice or if anyone could reccomend a bank that offer this. I just want an account with Direct Debit facilities and a Visa Debit card. I don't want cheque books or overdrafts etc...

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. :D

I have a Cash Card account with Barclays, this account Im using is an old one but I seem to recall from reading their literature in branch a provisional licence is ok. I like the Visa Debit that comes with it, and you can have DD's and SO's. Hope that helps :) (it doesnt have any cheque book/overdraft with it either)

Try opening the Step account online. Natwest try and identify you online, I didn't have to provide any additional ID to open my RBS group account.
