Flybe Baggage Charges

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me. I understand that Flybe changed their baggage rules lasT year. Can you still take a carryon bag for free? If so, what's the heaviest this can be? I think I read on this site that a free bag was 10 kg at the most but I cannot see this anywhere on their site. Can someone give me the link, please?

Thanks

You also need to bear in mind Flybe's restricted dimensions for cabin luggage - 50 x 35 x 23cm - which are less than for many airlines.

usually because they use much smaller aircraft on most routes - Usually the Dash 8 -400, or something like that.

Flybe have two aircraft families in the fleet, the Dash 8 Q400, which is a turboprop; and the jet Embraer 195, which will be joined by it's shorter brother the Embraer 175 this year. Both are smaller than the Boeing 737 and Airbus A319/A320 of most other airlines, with just two seats either side of the aisle, so overhead luggage space is smaller.

Note that if your flight is operated by Loganair (mostly FlyBe franchise routes within Scotland) you'll be in an an even smaller aircraft, but slightly different luggage terms apply.

The luggage space is smaller, but so is the number of passengers. Air Southwest operates Dash 8 aircraft and has a size of 56cm x 45cm x 25 cm for hand luggage. As with Ryanair the smaller than usual cabin luggage dimensions is partly motivated by raising revenue.

Ahhh yes I remember all to well wrestling my cabin bag into, and out of the Q400's overhead bins. One time I thought I was going to be taking some of the aircraft with me! The bins themselves aren't that small, however I find the opening is pretty narrow.
