As far as choice of words go, I believe it's not what is said - but the context it is used in that determines whether it is offensive/racist/etc.
Search Youtube for "Many uses of F word" for a perfect example of context. Some people will no doubt be offended, but it's bang on the money and quite amusing at the same time when you realise just how true it is.
Too right KillerWatt!

I always used the non PC one, the reason for Black at start I was told is to differentiate between black & brown, so two bs at start could be confusing, with black as first word no confusion as to which is first colour
If they think that is racist, for sealing joints we used solid sticks of pitch, about 6 inches long, which melted under heat, no prizes for guessing what that was calledGardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0 -
Another one I remember quite clearly was:
"Prince Samuel Caught Miss Zena Ironing Her Clothes" - but I can't remember what the hell it was for !!!!!!0 -
i should be worried, i did physics at high school (to higher level) & a further engineering course at college (to HND) without ever knowing that - either that or i wasn't listening, but i think i'd remember something that clearly looks like Jim Davidson/Roy Chubby Brown/Jethro came away with!Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

A bit of a guess as I've never heard it but:
Potassium, Sodium, ?, Magnesium, Zinc, Iron, ?, ?,
Levels of reactivity in metals. I remember MAZIT which was Aluminium and Tin in addition to some of yours.0 -
I have used the "black boys rape our young girls but violet goes without" one for 30 years, it has not made me racist towards black boys, nor consider raping anyone or to think that all women called Violet must be virgins.
It has just been a useful phrase to remember to aid me in remembering resistor colour codes.0 -
I remember it using the a similar one to that teacher except even less PC :o
I'm far too young for that to ever have been acceptable from a teacher too, so I can't remember where it came from
