I'm pretty sure it stands for overdraft not protected.
Do you have one with them? If so I reckon thats what it is:)It takes two to tango!:rotfl:0 -

It's a £10 buffer. It's something you can use for if you needed to. I had one when I first opened my account with barclays before increasing my overdraft. You don't get charged for using it!It takes two to tango!:rotfl:0

definitely stands for overdraft - no payment protection
w/p is with protection - for which you pay 80p per £100 limit regardless of if you use the limit or not0 -

In that respect, because your overdraft limit is used as just a kind of rateable sum insured your overdraft payment protection insurance with Barclays can be used as a sort of 12 month partial income protection product.
E.g. If I had a £5,000 OD W/P then if a PPI claim was deemed eligible for any claim payment to be made then it would be paid at the rate £500 per month irrespective of whether I was using the overdraft fully , partially or not at all.
(Not a lot of people know that)
But, not wishing to deflect the OP on understanding her OD, I confirm that N/P means hers is NOT protected.0
