APenny - I looked on the Maplins site after I posted & they were much dearer than Kenable so I've ordered from K. I took a little tour of their site & saved it for future reference as DH wants some heavier speaker cable when we re-arrange the sitting room in the summer. I thin I should get my scart thingy on Tues/Wed so I'll post later & let you all know how I get on (or not!!)

    Thank you again

It should work okay based upon what you have previously said. The only difficulty might be identifying which phono cable is left audio and which is the right audio cable as the PURE cables I have don't say which is which and it is difficult to identify them. The only difference is that the word Digital is Red on one plug and Black on the other but that is difficult to tell apart as I am a little colour blind.

Just make sure you don't plug either of the two phone plugs into the yellow phono socket on the Dazzle device as that is the composite video input and you won't get any audio.

Red usually means Left Channel and White means Right. There might be some small text printed on the cable to identify it.

Hi A.Penny - well the plug arrived today & this afternoon I got all set up. Power to VHS player - plug in scart set to output. Red & white plugs attached to Dazzle & I used a 'black' plug in the yellow ones. Started the programme on the PC - set the input to the VHS & I got sound & video feed off the VHS. Put my DVD in my PC & started the recording - came back 1 1/2 hours later - switched off the VHS & the damned Dazzle programme said 'Burning Error' - I'll give it Burning Error!!! - I'm going to try again tomorrow with just 15 mins of recording as I think I may have been too ambitious (impatient)
