After seeing the bookies jobs on RE for years, I finally took the plunge and took a couple.
I'm so nervous about these, I've never even done the lottery before, was wondering if I could drop in to the conversation that it was a "30 things to do before I'm 30" type challenge to put a bet on so I don't look really out of place?
One of the biggest flags that you're a shopper (aside from spending 15 minutes looking lost in a flea pit bookies) is trying to explain your presence
Just go to the counter with your bet and act like you do it all the time. The notes tell you what you need to ask when you put it on.
Slips are really easy to write out. Just write the racecourse, time and which horse you want then put "£x to win"
Best advice I can give is just act naturally0 -

I did too. Thought it was nice for them to take the time to give feedback as some MS companies don't. It's always nice to know that your reports are on the right track.0 -

We had a big increase in the new year and now set for massive hikes yet fee's are decreasing, I really am thinking to stick local now. also I do suggest people to consider this now for your own profits. For example there are people going 20 miles plus to take a job 4 miles from me.
I'm with misssarahleigh here regarding the lack of work, and that jobs on R.E go within a flash, honestly people are pouncing for them to appear. Really tough now. Got a supermarket audit and two Egg jobs tomorrow. Been a quiet week though, plenty of alerts hardly nothing for me and no phone calls to me either.
Please share your views.
I am happy to "share my views" but I don't think I'm a typical mystery shopper so I'm not sure how relevant it will be.
Like you, petrol is a big concern at the moment. The companies I work for haven't decreased their fees or mileage allowance, but they certainly haven't increased them in line with rising petrol prices.
This week has been quiet for me, but that was out of choice as the kids were off school for half term so we had a few family days out. Will be busy over the next few months with two new waves starting for two different agencies. I think it helps that I do video. There don't seem to be that many of us about and so the law of supply and demand works in my favour. If it weren't for mystery shopping I would never have discovered the joy of launch control.0 -
I had the email from ABAi as well, but he only job I've done this month was a Cat Jewellery visit, where I was unable to find a member of staff to serve me, so ended up leaving. Report was obviousl easy, although actually slightly tricky as there is no N/A options a lot of the time!
The email they sent me therefore, in the Gree box for what I've done well, just said Thanks for working for us!!
The Red box was empty though, soHalf of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Are ABAI paying later this time round? I asked yesterday and the general consensus is that people have been paid for the Cats but not for the garages and the supergarages. Very unlike ABAI as they are usually such quick payers! I was looking forward to spending it this weekend but alas not to be!Money_maker wrote: »Did anyone else get a February MS Feedback from abai? Yes, a nice touch, although I've done so much for them this month it's difficult to work out which jobs the comments relate to.
And thanks for the new thread Becs - I go out for one day and come back to a new thread already at 4 pages to catch up on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:We’ve had to remove your signature. The Red box was empty though, so
My red box said details included that could identify me when read back to the staff member and to try and make it less personal. But I am at a bit of a lose how to give a full report without giving all the details!0 -
What the...
On retail eyes, there was around 20 bookmaker jobs and I could have done around 4/5, because they were within a few miles. I accepted one, and then went back to accept another, and they have all gone, within around 30 seconds. I don't think some other people could have taken them that quick. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

There is a restriction on how many you can do, however I got 3 before they all disappeared!0 -

I was about to post about these. I have been in them before, usually grand national days so worried that I would look out of place and a bit suss!Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
