Don't think I fancy MSing at a phone shop tbh, sounding interested for that long and then finally telling them I don't want what they've tried so hard to sell me seems mean :rotfl:

Well that is what mystery shopping is all about..following a scenario. Mean or not, that is what you are being paid to do!

It's not just phone shops you have to do that, many other types of shops/outlets ask you to get the sales assistant to take you to the point of buying the product then raise an objection and not buy. You have to be tough in this game sometimes:)

I just got a new phone, looked at the Galaxy S but have never got on with Samsung phones in the past so went for the HTC Wildfire, slowly getting to grips with it - but can anyone recommend apps to make life easier ms wise, already downloaded a stopwatch, and a shopping list app that i've been using to make reminder notes on - but am guessing there are others I could make use of to make life easier for me.

I have a HTC Hero and I use the voice recorder most of the time especially when I do the burger jobs as you just click record leave it next to you and you can just speak as you go along for ex. just say queue, and then the rest gets recorded. When you finish just listen back and all the timings are there.
My husband has bought me a watch for Christmas which records but doesn't have any lights so you can't see it's recording, it was expensive but it works great! So much less to remember.

My husband has a Galaxy S hates it. Wishes he got Iphone

That made me giggle as my husband had an iphone but loves his Galaxy S a lot more :D

I love Sony Ericsson best and have had a few of their phones. Didn't get on with a Nokia N95 and hated it. Currently got a SE C905 which has a brilliant camera but the internet is pants on it.

Was keen on the Xperia X10 but heard too many mixed reviews about it. Waiting to see what the Xperia Arc is like when it comes out next month. It's much better than the X10 apparently.
Here I go again on my own....
  • Having 'test driven' the Galaxy S at least a dozen times in the last 3 months I cannot wait until my contract is up and I can ditch the iPhone 4 for one. I am left handed so initially had the issues with the aerial and I think it is only the name that is maintaining the hype around it now - all the other companies (even Nokia) are very quickly catching up with apple and their iPhone and some of the ones on the market now, particularly some of the new HTC ones are now on par.

Plus i'm sure others have noticed this as well that the iPhone tariffs are dire and operators are very inflexible about adding or removing anything. On a recent visit to a GFK phone shop I was nearly offered the earth with a Galaxy S for nearly £20 a month less than I pay for the iPhone. Having had an iPhone since they came out I can safely say unless the iPhone 5 has something super duper and new my love affair with the phone is over.

AHH just done my first gap burger and I'm still so confused it keeps telling me that the timings I have put down are too slow and I've kept checking but it still doesn't agree. On the point of giving up with it, it's not worth it for the fee I don't think and the food has made me feel sick, I don't even like them!

The Iphone sees to be hallowed as THE phone to have. However when I went into a phone shop (as a regular customer not an MSer) I was reccomended the Galaxy but a staff member who warned me against iphones due to the premiums slapped on Apple products and said the same as you that all the other companies are catching up and making phones as good as if not better than the iphone.

Still not sure whether I want a blackberry or a galaxy, both are within my price range.

Do you mean that you are getting a question along the lines of your timings appear to be to fast or to slow please comment? If so that is a standard question and appears every time you do one of the jobs. I tend to put in some waffle about the queue being long or there was no queue.

I always just put that it did not appear faster or slower than expected to me.
Unless of course there was something that did stand out as affecting the timings. Never been questioned or anything.
