Ok, so I need to get a pv500 evo NOT eco and a camera, is the bu18 the good one or the broken one? Also do you have a preferred supplier you could point me towards? I can see dogcam and lawmate (which I assume is the manufacturer) when I google.

Thanks again for all your help :)

Before you buy equipment, do what Jen says and find out if there is demand for video shoppers in your area. Also you have mentioned in the past, you get lots of queries. You really need to think if videoing your assignments is going to work for you.

It does for me, I think, as my weaknesses is timings and remembering details but I can follow the brief well. If your weakness is not sticking to a brief, then video isn't going to help and there is no hiding place. I forgot the other day and started talking to myself and it's recorded...:p

I got 100% for everything, including spelling/grammar, apart from "Added Value Comments" for which I got 75%.

I'm down to 50% on my added value comments

This is based on 4 jobs that I did last April. Haven't had a job with Helion since!

I've called a few of the companies I do non video work for and they have plenty of work available depending on the quality of my reports. I tend to travel quite a lot with my main job as well which helps (not got to Scotland yet tho :D ).

My main problem, and the reason I got a lot of queries when I started, was that a lot of the text boxes have character limits and I struggle to fit everything important into such a small space. In theory the video would show all the important parts so that wouldn't be so much of an issue.

Also, I've been taking on too much work and writing reports at 2am is never going to go well. One of the queries on one of my nightclub visits was "You have written 'I went to the feeeeeeeefeeef', please could you clarify what you mean by this" :rotfl:

I'm getting better though, this weekend I was finished writing up reports by 10pm!

I think what I'm going to do is speak to Ed, get one on a 14 day return basis and see how I get on with it. I'll have to get over my phobia of hearing my own voice though

Thanks for all your help and advice guys. I'm sure I'll be back to ask for more in due course, the last 6 months or so have been a massive learning curve and I couldn't have done it without this board so

Is the bank a sponsor of the Scottish Premier League or the English one? Depending on which one it is I may be able to help, I live 15 miles outside Glasgow.

Have React definitely lost the coffee shop then? If they have and the company have not enlisted another company to undertake the work it looks as if this has filtered down to the staff. I am currently sitting in my local and the level of music and the shouting going on by so called 'Baristas' resembles a night out in Victoria's in Sauchiehall Street on a Saturday night. And the look I got when returning to the counter and asking for a hot cup of coffee is another matter. I am seriously considering penning a letter to their Customer Relations Department.

Anyone done a hotel call for RE that isn't recored?

This one says ring the hotel direct but doesn't give any call recording instruction.

Is it a competitor hotel? I've done these before and they don't have to be recorded.

It's a lot easier than you think it is, hearing your own voice, tho I knew I talked a lot, I didn't realise how much I talk to myself!

Ed will sort you out. He's sweet! :D
