Correct!
Firstly the PV unit is a recorder not the camera.... and there is an EVO and ECO the ECO doesn't seem worth it as it doesnt do HD and personally I wouldn't go for it. The EVO is quite good now the hD camera that is suppose to go with it is having issues with SOME of the cables. But again a swift replacement and all is well.
Ok, so I need to get a pv500 evo NOT eco and a camera, is the bu18 the good one or the broken one? Also do you have a preferred supplier you could point me towards? I can see dogcam and lawmate (which I assume is the manufacturer) when I google.
Thanks again for all your help0 -

The fee itself should be ringing alarm bells. If this was a genuine mystery shopping assigment, the most you'd expect is around £8-£15. Even if this was a video assigment, you'd expect the fee to be much lower than what they're offering.
Western Union is often used in scams due to the fact that once the money's sent, there's no comeback. The receiver can disappear without trace. What you'll find is that they'll send you a cheque for more than the amount stated. You'll be requested to do the assigment, but because the cheque would not yet have cleared, you'd be drawing on your own funds. The cheque will then be returned a few days later as it's either drawn on a closed account or fraudulent. A variation is that a cheque or transfer is promised that never seems to arrive.
It's a variation on the advance fee fraud or 401 scam made famous by emails from supposedly wealthy Nigerian scammers.
The 6th point suggests you'll make a lot of money and will have 2-3 assigments a week, so long as you process them fast. That way he's hoping you'll draw even more money on your own account hoping that he'll reimburse you. £5-750 a week is quite tempting.
Note the last bit - No funds are required by you. That's because he suspects you'll think it's too good to be true. That's because it is. You've no doubt got a feeling that something's fishy which is why you're checking it out. Trust that instinct.
Just one last note - if you Google the person's name it's possible you won't see anything bad. That's because I can almost guarantee that's not his real name. In a week's time it'll be another one, and again changing in a few more days.Competition wins:
2010 - approx £450. 2011 - approx £800. 2012 - approx £300. 2013 - nothing so far!0 -

Dog cam is a good supplier. They work closely with lawmate -- he is probably the best price.
BEfore you buy start calling companies seeing if they have work in your area-- also talk to Ed (from Dogcam) see if you can buy the camera use it and if you don't like return he operates what I believe is a 14 day period of grace. If you do that you can see if you will be any good at video... i.e framing, following briefs, etc.
Its a big investment.
Oh buy a kit from Ed its the camera and the recorder for 1 price.0 -

Dazza12 has described it all pretty well, just to add - the above format for capturing details would be familiar to anyone who has had long lost African relatives leaving huge inheritances for them; or have been randomly contacted by millionnaires needing somewhere to hide their money from unfriendly dictators - it seems to be some sort of copy/paste jobby from these scammers.0 -
