Once you have accepted the invite and registered the whole process does not take very long. Your clicker and instructions will arrive within days. When you first look at it and the instructions your hair will stand on end! However do not be put off because it is very simple and you will soon get into a routine. I have been on their panel for a few months and change my points into Amazon vouchers. I have worked it out that I get a £10 voucher just under 7 weeks. Not a great deal but hey ho for scanning my shopping its ok.

My son reckons big brother is watching! However my argument is that enough is known about me through banks, mortgage council tax etc that my shopping habits are nothing!

Thank u .just now registered with them for clicker, filled all the information,is nothing to worry right all the information filled up

It helps if you can be assertive. When I first started, I was sort of curled up and nervous and mumbled "errrm can I ermmm put this stand up please?" Quite often they said no, and I just said "ok then bye" :o

If you stand up straight with relaxed shoulders and your head held high and walk with a purpose you look much more confident. I now say "I have a stand for ......., where do you want it putting?" and then it's harder for them to say they don't want it ;) If they do, I explain why it would benefit the store if they allowed it and sometimes I can persuade them to have it. If it's a male manager, having a nice smile helps too ;)

I like it better than MS work too.

Thats good advice. I do try to be assertive, and I think this comes more with experience (look at me pretending to be experienced!). I say "I'm here on behalf of X co to site Y", and dont really give them a chance to refuse. Most Managers are really helpful and will check stocking levels for me on the computer etc. I'm still unsure how to get the Managers to order more stock though. Even though they agree that the product is a good seller, the computer automatically re-orders low stock, so they tend to refuse to manually intervene.

I also have a question about planograms. I stocked a shipper last week and had to take limited supplies of the pruduct from the shelf. Even then, it looked sparse. Should I have stuck to the planogram to the letter, or should I have made the shipper look nice and full with other stock?

Abai are nice people. Ring them up and explain.

Thanks, I feel a bit daft. It's my first job with them. I might just do them both again. I still have time. Not very cost effective, but I've learnt my lesson. Always get what's left and right and receipts. Golden rules

Could anyone tell me if GFK usually let you do two bank visits the same day, different branches of the same company? There doesn't seem to be anything in the briefing notes that says I can't. Thanks.

It depends on the manager. Some will order more in, but others don't like fiddling with it!

I'd try and fill it with other items from that manufacturer so it looked full and then put a note on explaining why you had done that.

If you get stuck on a call, most companies are really helpful if you ring up and ask what to do.
Here I go again on my own....

Yes I've done 2 or 3 on the same day with no problem.

Did a branch a few months back and didn't know that one of my sons friends mothers worked there as a personal banker. It was a branch where they have those padded barriers to make a semi-private office but you can still see in. I could see her sitting in there talking to someone and she knows I'm a mystery shopper. Ended up standing in the queue with my back to barrier, and luckily the cashier carried out the whole scenario as the personal banker was busy, and I sneaked back out again without her spotting me :D

i have done this before, didnt see anything in the notes and was paid for the jobs no problem. just make sure you do the paper questionnaire after the first one as they will blend into one and its not easy to remember which is which!:p

There's still some left in my area from the last round. They seem to have taken the audit bit out at the end though.
