The uproar is mainly surrounding the purchase of a product which you then need to make a complaint about and take back. Many of us don't think it's fair that the supermarket then loses the value of that product either through refund or exchange because their competitor wants to know about their customer service!

Fair enough. Although reading between the lines of some previous posts, I'm not sure that this part of the assignment will always get done! I think the ESA window jobs are more devious though.

The window jobs are fine in the summer months as you can get up early and usually get into town before the parking restrictions start and park for free, snap away and its all done before the shop opens so only the people passing by think your weird. Although if anyone ever asks you can say you are studying T&T or something similar and its for a project.

Its the competitor surveilance element I'm talking about - and dont even get me started on the crisp!
  • Phone them up and ask to speak with Denise, she appears to be the only one in that office with an ounce of common sense. If they have emailed you telling you that you aren't getting paid reply back with all the details and if possible give details of the times you have spoken to.

Thanks for this, I'll give it a go.
  • Nothing wrong with competitor shops but wilfully destroying items and then expecting a refund is wrong and like someone said, what if seen by the security staff?

Akin to the credit check on the payday loan company one the other month (these are far more dangerous than usual credit checks as lenders will be alarmed if they see payday loan companies appearing on your report).

Never saw these, so can't comment but would defo stay away from anything like that. MS'ing is not worth upsetting your credit history for, no matter what the fee IMO. Where these competitor ones as well?

Anyone been allocated any pharmacy audits for RE next month? 3 times the number of items to check and only a third increase in fee! They were easy last time though after the first one but not sure I will have time to do mine. May call and see if they can increase the timescale.

You missed a treat there Dotty, it wasn't just about applying for a payday loan company, from memory it was something like miss the first payment and wait to see how long they took to chase :rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, Jen, fair enough for a normal Egg shop, but what people are getting at, is that these are COMPETITORS stores. Fair enough, if the Egg Stores want us to damage an item and take it back, its their loss, but is it really fair to wilfully destroy food items from competitors and then ask for a refund? I dont think so which is why I have cancelled the job I had accepted.
