Hi
Was told last Wednesday that one out of our team of 3 people will be made redundant.
Decision meeting is on Monday afternoon.
I've been given the last appointment out of the 3.
Do you guys think it is me that is going?
Regards
Jonathan

One cannot judge an outcome on the pre-arranged order of meetings.
Yes, you may be the one to be made redundant (1 in 3 chance) but there could be other variables to consider when arranging a series of meetings.0 -
Fair play SVM
Just seems it will either be the first or last in really since we all sit in a similar area.0 -
My old company used to do it alphabeticaly sometimes forward sometimes reverse.0

Or the middle person. You really cannot tell.0 -
But good luck to you. Yes you have a 1 in 3 chance, but don't assume the worst just because you're the final interviewee.0

Id say the first one in is the one to go....Gets the bad news out of the way first.....and then he tells the other two that A has been made redundant...He is hardly likely to tell A and B that he is going to make you redundant before telling you
Good Luck0 -

Mackendave I was thinking the same thing.
My personal opnion is they call the first person in.
Then while they are in there being told the other 2 of us are taking away to be told person A is being made redundant.
Bit harsh on the first person as she pretty much has the whole weekend knowing she is most prob going on Monday now!0 -

I refer you to my previous reply. I reiterate, do not read anything into the pre-arranged order of the meetings.0 -
That's been my experience too. The first time the well known leisure company I worked for made large numbers of employees redundant, I actually found it rather shocking and upsetting that the first ten people called in were all told their jobs no longer existed and to go and clear their desks and leave the premises immediately. Many of these people were in tears or very close to it and I felt so badly that we could all see what was happening. I'm sure they could have handled it more sensitively.0
