Hi all,

I am posting for a friend who is currently with '3', but wanting to escape due to the consistently poor phone signal he is getting. For £20.94, he currently has:

1100 minutes or texts. Or any mix of two. Anytime, any network.
(1 minute = 1 text)
300 free 3 to 3 UK minutes.
Free voicemail.
Free skype to skype calls
Surf ebay for free

He does more texting than calling, but still wants a good text and call bundle which ideally matches or exceeds this one, for the same or a lesser cost. He's not interested in Skype or surfing the internet..just calls and texts. He has a Virgin Media landline so it might be an option to go for them since one can get free Virgin to Virgin calls.

Can anyone help?

Does this mean that all other data (internet) is not free?

Hi Grumbler, I typed it all from his contract, and ebay is all it says. I imagine that he wouln't know even if I asked him, since he never uses the internet via a mobile. I guess you are thinking the same as me - expensive bundle!

OK, I just spoke to Virgin and they have some great deals for those who are already Virgin customers.

Now he just has to decide between HTC Desire and Nokia C301!

If he doesn't use the internet, why would he need an expensive Desire?

It was one of the two options they gave me, Grumbler. I am pretty certain that he will go for the other phone, simply because he doesn't like smartphones and won't be using the internet, as you mentioned. The interesting thing is, both deals are the same price £20.43) in spite of the HTC being a more expensive phone. However, there is a reduction if he doesn't take an internet package on the Nokia..and hewill get 500 minutes instead of 200. The deal is much better than what 02 are charging for the same phone.
