Anyone recommend a good cheap red wine for cooking.

hi, just got the hairy bikes new cook book and a few recipes need red wine but i am not clued up on wine for cooking. would be great full for any ideas on a good but cheap red wine. i mainly shop at tesco or Aldi has these are near to me.

ASDA had the British wine at only £2 per bottle - it's only 8%.
Hidden Vineyards British Medium Fruity Red Wine

Showing £2.65 online, so may be worth a look in store.
