  • One more question. Do the pre paid meters need to be back to £0 or can we use the £5 emergancy credit on both before they take them out

  • Dear All,

WARNING ABOUT WEBSAVER 11 - IT IS NOT 6% OFF STANDARD TARIFF

I have just checked the Terms and conditions and for WebSaver 11, there is a guaranteed 6% reduction BUT it is not off the standard tariff as in WebSaver10, ONLY 6% off TIER 2 rates for gas an electricity ONLY. Be warned.

    Hi all,

Can anyone help me work out what i have used over the last 7 days. I had both my meters installed last week and i just want to keep an eye on what i have used for the last week due to British Gas saying i will be Charged by the Standard Rate Tariff until there accounts system updates with the new meter details.

    Gas Meter Started on Zero
Reading as of Today is 00021 m3 which i worked out as 239Kwh

    Elec Meter Started on Zero
Reading as of Today is 00046 Kwh

Standard Rates on British Gas are as follows

    Gas Tier 1 - 6.991
    Gas Tier 2 - 3.204

    Elec Tier 1 - 21.769
    Elec Tier 2 - 9.635

Tier 1 on Elec is for First 60 Kwh
Tier 1 on Gas is for First 223Kwh

Am i right to say the above should be around £25 not including the dual fuel discount and direct debit discount we get for the last week. When we was on prepayment it was around £17 a week we spent between the 2.

Wished british gas could hurry up and let us go on the online package instead of standard rates
